Trevor Rabin's spectrum of talent is incredible from soundtrack production to composing and playing guitar. The former Yes guitarist melds rock rythms with a Western themed movie. This song was a great fit.

This western is excellent! There is both action and suspense in this film and the actors are really good especially Colin Farrell and Timothy Dalton. It is certain that it is not a classic (like the westerns with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood) but "American Outlaws" remains an entertaining western a little far-fetched certainly but pleasant all the same, a little in continuity from "Young Guns". The actors are very convincing and their characters are very endearing. And the most memorable scene is the scene with the train and the signs which is both funny and original. The soundtrack wants to be resolutely modern, breaking the codes of the scores that have marked this genre that is the western. The story is not new, since already in the thirties, Henry King then Fritz Lang, offered us this story of the James brothers with a brilliance, rarely equaled. To remember a rather pleasant, dynamic rhythm with a lot of action, and a host of well-known actors. The action is omnipresent and maintains the interest of the viewer while presenting a human Jesse James with the qualities of heart. So sincerely, it's far from being a masterpiece, but it's still a good western.Thank you Netflix !

There's an old saying "you live by the sword you die by the sword" or in this case the "gun". I loved this film and wish that Jesse had been granted a happy ending but sadly he was betrayed. Yes he was a real American man fighting for what he believed in as all our other most heralded outlaws were; Butch Cassidy, Billy the Kid probably being the most famous. I don't think they intended to become outlaws but life during that time drove them to break the law. And a caveat here: I was watching a documentary on Butch Cassidy the other day and it was reported that he never murdered anyone. He was more interested in robbing trains.
