I know straight hair isn’t that common, but most Asians actually have fairly straight hair. Would’ve appreciated it if you covered the 1a - 1c hair types. I think I have 1b hair, but I’m not 100% sure. It fights being curled.

For real. I wish he would have covered at least the basics of 1a-1c. I’m not Asian, but Northern European, and I’m pretty sure I’m 1b-1c. Hard to tell though, because nearly nobody actually discusses straight hair types.

I have extremely straight hair. I'm not Asian or anything but I got a perm once and I did everything the way you're supposed to do and it only lasted about a week. I'm not even sure how long it's supposed to last but if there are different types of straight hair I wish he would have gone over them too!

I have the most confusing 1A hair and was hoping for some help on it as well. :/ it WILL not curl, gets oily 2-3 hours after washing, and you can forget getting any type of brush through it if it’s wet :/

@@cultivatinggrace I'm Norwegian and Swedish, and have the straightest and finest hair. I think my hair and small are healthy, but at the same time, I'm not finding info or knowledge from another person with fair hair. There's a famous King named Harold Fair-hair. All those sagas written and no one though to include how to take care of the crown(of hair). Lol

Same here! My old hairdresser always said my hair was damaged/dry because she couldn’t comb it, it felt tangled and didn’t shine. I moved to another town, changed the hairdresser and I warned her and she said: no, your hair is great, it’s all healthy, it’s just wavy. I changed my products and suddenly- shiny, wavy hair, easy to comb ❤

i think i have like 2a hair so it's not that curly but still it is almost never tangled anymore whereas it used to be sooo tangled all the time when i was younger, because my mom didn't know any better and had me brush it and shampoo it a ton, and i also didn't get it cut it enough to remove split ends. once i stopped brushing it and changed my washing routine the tangles gradually just stopped happening unless it's been too long since i cut it and at that point the ends have gotten damaged and start to snag on each other. i guess what i'm saying is there's of course unavoidable tangles especially if your hair is curly and long and it gets mussed up, but the kind of tangles that just appear out of nowhere and are due to split ends are something else. but ultimately yeah i agree what he said applies less the further up the scale you go.

Yeah, it's like that for a lot of people. Mine, as far as I know is 1b-2b, but it's also super long, which weighs it down, so I don't really know exactly.

It's the "if your takes hours and hours and hours to dry, then your hair is damaged" for meeee. 4a/4b curly girl. Dont tell me nothing lmao

Which is how I knew automatically, other than so much else he said, that he has no idea about curly hair. Curly hair takes forever to dry, even more so if you have to add oils to it. Like, Brad, bring on a person versed in real curls!

People with curly hair typically have denser hair, he literally said those with less dense hair that it takes hours and hours and hours to dry it’s damaged. So he’s probably not talking about y’all curly headed peeps.

He literally said right after that it's not about people with high density hair (which curly ppl tend to have)

I have 2C hair, but my hair has always been slow to dry, I have *a lot* of hair though, so maybe that’s why
