Honest to God, I don't cry easily, but every time I hear this monologue from Morgan Freeman, especially the final sentence: "My dear friend, close your eyes and let the waters take you home" that always brings a tear to my eye, even when I quote it while matching Morgan Freeman's voice. Seriously, my eyes are never dry by the time I get to the end--he's that damn good.

+Beastie Boy Well, Roger Ebert felt that it was making fun of cancer, which is especially insulting to him since he suffered from a terminal cancer that eventually killed him. He said in his review that the film shouldn't be played in hospital wards lest the TV screens get pelted by bedpans. He did, however, praise Morgan Freeman's performance, but felt that the film would have been a bit more compelling if Nicholson's character had been the narrator, talking about how shallow and jerkish he was until Freeman's character "saved [his] life...in more ways than one."

This movie has so much heart. It points up that the most important thing in life, is relationships.(Gee, didn't someone say that, a long time ago?) Good story and Rob Reiner is a good story teller. It will be like Princess Bride, a late bloomer, a movie passed down through generations.

I sure hope neither of these actors play mind games without a license cause it would cost them their HOLLYWOOD stars. I still remember what happened prior to this movie being put into stores, I was attacked viscously & the licensed psychologist whose number I still have stated I was severely neglected and abused. BACKGROUND CHECKS, positivities can only be opened by certification by a licensed medical examiner at his office under his numbers even the falsely accused per medical which is the same as environmental.
