The manuscript history of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique is being lost to time as well as a lack of education and funding to preserve what remains.
The GGHS Facebook page serves as a platform for sharing Grenada's collective history as well as to raise awareness about the state of Grenada's National Archives and partner with all interested parties to digitize and catalogue what has survived and make freely available online.

Our ancestors "IS" our foundation, and it is imperative that we teach our younger generations about where they came from.... why we need to keep their legacy alive. The things that our ancestors did whyle they were here, that we still need to continue on with, also this needs to be implemented in Grenada curriculum soon than later... African history! We need to stop over looking our history and start living in it again. we are strong Africans and are highly favored.. yes, and your guess is absolutely correct, we must keep records.. one should know atleast 7 generations back in order to say I know who I am. Ase 💧

Some of the archives could be in the French museum because the France had colonize Grenada for some time as well before Britain take it back

There is lots of Lewis in St Georges, and St Davids as well and yes Lewis is a popular surname

The Lewis is spread all over Grenada not just st George's and st David's they are loads of them in all the Parishes.

@@ExodusCollective Yes it is...I did the DNA analysis Akan/Ghana and Igbo/Nigeria. Previous comments was deleted maybe its because I gave the company name, not sure.
