There's a lot of that going on in Florida. The snake gets "too big to handle" or to feed. The owner's take them into the woods, or the Everglades and just leave them. That's why they have so many hybrids down there. I feel for any living being to be dumped alone, like they're nothing. 🥺

It REALLY pissed me off that ball python was out in a park as well. I cannot believe people dump pets all over this country! It's absolutely disgusting when there are SOOO many damn options for all species of unwanted pets. It's despicable and I really hope they figure out who does these things. I hope it haunts anyone who releases pets into the wild FOREVER! These animals often die absolutely horrific deaths because they've been pets and are NOT capable of living in the wild, especially reptiles because they are released in areas that do not have the proper climate for survival. I had a hamster get loose years ago when I was 18 and the next day I went outside and found my roommate's cat had KILLED IT! I messed up and that hamster DIED! Of course, I NEVER intentionally set ANY animal out to fend for themselves but my hamster got loose as I was cleaning her cage and it has haunted me for over a decade that I screwed up and my hamster died a VIOLENT death. I searched our house for HOURS and couldn't find her. Sadly, I went outside the next day to do some yard work and found part of her in our yard and my roommate's cat was indoor/outdoor and he killed her. That was an ACCIDENT that ended horribly. I CANNOT even fathom doing that ON PURPOSE! It just makes me SICK!
@leen70555 жыл бұрын
Thank goodness Eric saved it. Totally agree with you Brian on your view and stance. No pet (cat, dog, snake, frog, fish, gator, etc) should ever be abandoned to fend for itself.

wanna hear a cool story? Ok, so ever since i was young i had a phobia of snakes. I would see a snake and run the other way. As i got older if i'd see a snake, my first thought was snakes are gross, disgusting, etc.....and then about a year or so ago i come across a channel name Brian Barczyk, my daughter was doing reading on reptiles so i figured i'd help her on her stuff. So im watching it and then im like "eeee snakes!" and then a few days later, i see Brian Barczyk on my suggestions on KZbin, so i click and watch....then this became a regular thing...and i started realizing something....snakes are very beautiful creatures and i started looking into my phobia and what caused it? I did find out why i was afraid of snakes....it was my mom and some close relatives who never liked them and it rubbed off on me as a kid......but anyway, here i am a year or so later....and the coolest part?? I now own a Kingsnake!!!! I am now a reptile owner and overcame a phobia thanks to just watching Brian's passion for reptiles.
