The limited movement is kinda interesting. It’s almost a roguelite tower defense, except you’re the tower and you aren’t fully immobile.

That last run was utterly ridiculous with that screenshake. That's the cheesefarm build if I ever saw one. Run that and just unlock half the game every time, squee-haw

I am hoping in the full game the Star allies have something past the top right one since I think is a reference to supernovas. Because I want their to be an upgrade or upgrades that relate to stuff that happens because of a super nova; for example: 1. black hole that consolidates all your alleys into one black hole. This black hole shoots shots that increase in size for every kill black hole gets and damage, the increase is proportional to how many star allies are in it. 2. White dwarfs: your star allies become white dwarfs that shoot extremely dense shots that have heavy knock back and move slower. The dense shots when they explode have an increased blast radius and damage.

lightning applies curse and curse is on a timer, you don't want lightning to target closest because then you have to kill with damage instead of having things that got hit at the edges die to curse as they make it half way in

Funny thing about AoE close lightning is that as the mobs get closer to you, the more effective it becomes, since the mobs are closer to each other

though close lightning's got a bit of anti-synergy with poison and curse, which are things you want to inflict on the enemies when they're farther out, to get their full benefit.

@@Daemonworksthey went from cursing the entire map to cursing close targets which denied them the opportunity to die by timeout, which was sad, but star friends getting penetration? That's got some power with curse, but you'll need to stack speed reduction, probably from knock back and poison.

More of this obviously. That final stage of the lightning rat looked like a galaxy with your rat being all those black holes =) Actually, I think you only get one level 7 per run, I mean what are the odds you did not get any arrow or poison for all those levels showing only level 1 skills.

Thought on lightning:curse interaction: If you get close lightning, you're not curse killing the enemies further out. It might be more effective to lightning kill everything close, but it might be more effective to thin the hordes on their way in

I wasn't really sold on this in the first couple of runs, but seeing the absurdity of the last run, I can see some potential. I hope they bring out more options for upgrades, too.

I enjoyed seeing some interesting new mechanics, but overall the game seems kinda easy. I noticed that Lee wasn't moving his character for a large portion of the last run.
