I dont think it is possible unless you have completely memorised the functions and their graphs and can imagine them in your head

Yes, by finding local max and min values over that interval

@@jrmath2003 Exactly. You may need to differentiate in order to find those points. I tend to use tables, that help me to organise all the information.

Oh just find intersections and then plug in any point between intersections to both functions and see which is higher. Just make sure you found all intersections and the two you choose are adjacent.
