Great video. Enjoyed it all especially the out in the forest bit! 😊 I have been using Chaga for about a year now and truly feel that there are many benefits to its use. Usually I'll drink mine cold. I'll brew it and store in the refrigerator . I drink it poured over ice with a wedge of lemon every morning since that's supposed to be the "better/best" time to drink it. Basically, iced tea. I'll harvest when the temperatures are down there too as you pointed out! Also, I make my morning coffee in a French press so I will sprinkle some of the fine bits of Chagall in with the coffee as well as a sprinkle of cinnamon making use of its anti-inflammatory properties. Love the Chaga and definitely love the coffee! 😀

Nice video on chaga! I've never tried it but I'll be keeping an eye out for it next time I'm out in the woods. Also, it was nice meeting you guys today out on Square Lake. I hope you got more fish after we left!

It was great meeting you as well! Just one crappie, nothing special. Might try to get out one last time this weekend, we'll see! Hope to run into you again in the future.

Very cool TR. love chaga cold and hot as well. Also will make my version of a cappuccino called a chagachino. Ill mix in some powdered international coffee with it. Would like to see more videos of you in the woods. Thanks for sharing and greetings from Chicago and ATB Mike

Chagachino!! Ha! I might have to try brewing some coffee with chaga tea as the water... had not considered that. I think I'll be doing some woods walkin' once we get some snow on the ground and try to do some wilderness ASMR type stuff. At least I hope to, when I'm not out ice fishing. :) Thanks as always for watching Mike!!

I didn’t care for the taste as a tea. Yup,it tastes like paper. I don’t add anything,as I can’t have sweeteners .So maybe I’ll Sprinkle it on food.

Haha, it really does taste like paper! Could be a lot worse. I don't think you want to eat it- but maybe you could mix it into other drinks like unsweetened tea, or blend it with coffee, or who knows, maybe you'll come to enjoy it as an acquired taste. :) I haven't brewed a batch in a while, maybe I'll do that this weekend.

Including honey? Natural honey is amazing in chaga tea

Never store mushrooms in a plastic bag only paper or cardboard. Chaga can mould easily. Brew your tea several hours at a simmer and refridgerate leftover tea. You can make an extract also by adding to high procentage alchohol like vodka or grain alchohol. Beginners mistakes no worries.👍

Thanks Genie! I think I mentioned it in the video, but I did not actually store the chaga in the Ziploc; I just needed a way to transport it inside and didn't really have a bucket or anything for it, so I just used a bag. As soon as it was inside, I let it dry on drying racks and baking sheets.

As long as its completely dry ti can store it in plastic bags with no worries. Thats how its sold online. Ive had mine in a bag all year...no issues.
