A few years ago, I couldn't understand why people spend so much time catching Shiny Pokemon. I later on finished my Living Dex and decided to Shiny Hunt as well. It was quite a fun experience. All these different methods were actually fun, I think my favourite one is soft resetting, as it was quite easy :D I like to watch your videos as I now understand the excitement to get a shiny. The Safari Hunts reminds me of the time I was on my way to my routine dental check up when I was just hanging out the Safari Zone and found a Shiny Rhyhorn. I ended up catching it but the craziest part was that I actually threw a rock at it first because I remember reading somewhere that throwing a rock will increase the capture rate but it's much more likely to flee. The madlass in me that day was really feeling lucky I guess. 😅

Weedle was the first shiny I found in my copy of leaf green. And the first shiny to be found. I was looking for a squirtle and got bored pretty early into the hunt, like 10-15 resets max…found the weedle 2 encounters into viridian forest. But that led to me hunting for it again, but I swapped to bulbasaur. Got that in like 120 resets. Then found a shiny Eevee 165 resets. So I guess I got compensation for the now beedrill.

That'll make sure you stay in battle as some Growlithe has Roar which unlike with Gen 5 and onward will actually end the battle instead of forcing you to switch out a Pokémon!

First shiny Pokémon I ever saw was a shiny tentacool while playing emerald. I was like 9 or 10, didn’t have any internet where I was, so after seeing tentacool with green jewels instead of red, I got super spooked and shut off my gameboy. Found a got a shiny tropius like a week later so that made up for it lol.
