It is admirable how much you are teaching your son Teddy. He is very articulate and is a great role model for the kids. Great job!

We have more propagation videos in the works!

I love your son’s knowledge and enthusiasm for plants ❤🪴🪴 I know many times you collect plants you already have could your son pot up rooted plants and sell them for a few bucks, instead of throwing them away? I think he could have a nice little business for himself! He’s a great kid well done!🪴🌱🪴🎋🌺🌸
@IslandsnHighlands4 ай бұрын
Thank you! He loves plants and learning about them. We don’t throw them away-we plant them in pots and right back in our yard. In fact Teddy sold plants about a year ago at a plant market and did very well.

The only thing missing is the music when they are driving the Batmobile from the 60's Batman show when your driving the golf cart. Nice haul as usual, why not leave a note asking for a monstera cutting.
@IslandsnHighlands4 ай бұрын
Yes-funny story-Doug Flutie lives near us and actually drives the Batmobile around our area! He has given our boys a tour of it!! Night rider would be a good spinoff also! And thanks for the idea-we should leave a note for the monsters cutting!

Thank you for saving these beautiful plants and cuttings and giving them new life and not being destroyed at the dump. I just think the whole process of them being compacted and dumped is so cruel.

I just can't believe you can go around so often and have such a large haul! People just throw them away left and right
@IslandsnHighlands4 ай бұрын
I know it, I think because these plants grow so fast and there’s only so much space people have in their yards-but it’s awesome for plant hoarders like us!
@mcanultymichelle4 ай бұрын
It’s impressive. How well your son knows the names of these plants. Do you need rooting hormone or can you just stick them in the ground to see what happens? ? I’m blown away at how beautiful your garden is.
@IslandsnHighlands4 ай бұрын
Thank you! We just stick them in the ground a lot of the time-however to give them a bit more of a chance we stick them in water for a few days (which will help them root better and faster). We also put them in potting soil in pots as house plants to keep a close eye on them and baby them. Fresh cuttings need to be treated like seedlings for the first few weeks they are planted to give them all the chances to live

Yes for sure! I broke that baby up and planted a huge patch. They struggle in the heat this time of year but if I can nurse it now we should have and abundance of tomatoes this fall

@IslandsnHighlands4 ай бұрын
Yes! Everglades tomato seeds do not germinate unless fermented in the fruit so the best way to grow is to plant a tomato. And a tomato will grow a HUGE tomato plant
