Finding Friends In The Furry Life Changes Your Outlook

Yep. I can confirm. My life changed ever since ive made friends in the fandom.

You are so true about the point on it being hard to find the connections and feelings you get in the fandom outside in the world. I used to have little to no friends all throughout early childhood into my mid-teens. Then I found furries on KZbin and decided to join a random discord server for furries. Since then, I've found the largest friend group I may ever know of, all because I became a furry. I'm eternally grateful to have found the fandom when I did.

I just joined the fandom a little over a month ago. While it's been amazing, it also made me realize I don't like where I'm at in life. So while I don't regret it, it's kinda deepened my depression. Anybody else who got into an existential crisis over joining the fandom?

Well there is a bit of that for me, it is like when I first got the vr headset, I had no clue what I was doing. Joining worlds, just exploring, then I started reaching out to other communities, started making friends and it snowballed. It takes time to find a place, I truly was feeling lost for the first bit, now I am starting to find a groove, finding friends that are amazing.
