Someone's already said it, but this man's cracked the code. Panning for gold AND growing a following off of doing so! My late mother used to pan for gold back in the day, and I used to think of it as a bit of a wild goose chase, but after watching some of these videos, it just makes me wish I could call my mom up and ask to go gold panning with her. Love what you're doing, Dan! Keep at it.

It’s kind of like fishing…. You may have a hook in the water and not catch one fish but you still had a great time. It’s really about being outdoors… fresh air and sunshine…. Almost zero humans… no traffic. Gold or not, it’s good for the soul…. And if you do get some gold…. Just icing on the cake

Hey Dan love your show I've been watching you from the the state of Maine for over a year now I have a suggestion for you when it gets down to Bedrock is to carry around a handheld battery powered shop vacuum so that when you get down to bedrock you can vacuum everything up dry or wet into the bag and dump it out in your pan then you can see the crevices more clearly to scrape them out you can even metal detect each crevice individually with a pinpointer like the Garrett carrot. Good luck and God bless you. Your show has been very educational to me. Thanks a bunch Jim Bailey

I got skunked out for 90% of the day got my car stuck and had to hike 6 extra miles to get help took less than 5 minutes to pull my car out they were some crazy artillery shells sized potholes pointed my story no matter how good the ground looks no matter how good you think the river is nature has its own plans I just love the content Dan. Dan, I understand you're reasoning for throwing away the overburden and going to the bottom, but if all you're finding is new ( Probably washed in this winter ) would that overburden still have gold that hasn't had the chance to settle to the bottom? Probably just me being afraid to miss any I would pan it all and waste a lot of time

I've gotten some nice gold panning overburden deposited during winter and flooding, as you pointed out...not all gold instantly drops to the bottom, it has to work its way down

Hey maybe I can answer. Those are Milwaukee gloves from Home Depot I believe, and only the black part is waterproof. I used them all winter in Ontario to frame and they were awesome. Just enough insulation to maintain some level of dexterity. 👍🏻 cost $11 per pair but well worth it.
