Hi Ginno Happiness is in how you look at things. If you have the ability to always see the good in situations, you’re more than halfway there. The Philippines is a beautiful place and there’s so much to see here. I am really glad I came! Thanks for all the great videos:-)

Hey my brother. Always good to hear from you. I enjoy our conversations about your walks in Dumaguete and the kind people around you. Can't wait to hear your stories about your Negros Island adventures. I have learned to tune out negativity and focus on positive things. It's made my life more enjoyable. Take care my brother. Stay blessed.

Bro, I want to find happiness in the Philippines for sure. I am divorced with no kids and I want to be in a loving relationship and I’ve always found Filipinas to be very beautiful. I am a pastor out of Quebec Canada but now I’m in Oklahoma for ministry purposes I was supposed to be in Cebu city this week for preaching, but that had to be cancelled but the reality is I need to get myself situated first I need to find myself a remote job. I am 57 on 23 September so I still have a few years in me to work. I have been thinking about getting a pastoral role somewhere maybe the Philippines and that could solve my issue. It’s just a matter of seeing what I can do if I can get a remote job then I could be there and do the job.
@dazeltv1351Ай бұрын
Hey my brother. There are many Filipinas here looking for a loving relationship like you. I don't think you will have a problem finding a Filipina; because you already like Filipinas. Finding a remote job would be ideal. Many are doing that here in the Philippines. Have a company in a western country that they work for. It doesn't have to be a lot of money; as long as it is a reliable income. Because there are plenty of areas in the Philippines with low-cost housing and low cost of living. Take care my friend.

Hi guys, you hit the nail on the head by using the one word, Beautiful, that best describes the Philippines and its people. Marie and I have always said we would move there in half a heartbeat if it wasn't for the lack of fracture and my inexperience and unwillingness to adapt to it. Take care our friends and we love you all.
@dazeltv1351Ай бұрын
@@horacesubayar794 I am always grateful to have made it back to the Philippines after living in the U.S. for 30 years. Thankful for my time in America; but the Philippines is my home. Filipinos are my people. The lack or quality of infrastructure is a lot to overcome. Most everything is so efficient and convenient in the U.S. Total opposite in the Philippines. 😁 Take care our friends. Love you both.

I think the big key to "happiness" anywhere you live when you're retired is to have interests in your life besides work. If you no longer work, you have to have something to do .. gardening, photography, reading, beach combing, traveling .. something, right? This is one of my biggest concerns as I consider living there most of the time. I stopped chasing skirts and getting drunk a long time ago so family activities become very important. Good video Ginno with good information, as always.
@dazeltv1351Ай бұрын
I can't agree with you more my friend. When I started my retirement in the Philippines in 2011, I had a long list of things that I wanted to do. And I'm glad that I got to do it. I bought a mountain bike; rode it all over Boracay and mainland Aklan. I had snorkeling equipment I brought with me; and did a lot of snorkeling in Boracay. I ran the beach almost daily and swam in the ocean. I traveled the Philippines and southeast Asia. But, after about 15 months in Boracay, I started to have a more normal routine. I've always enjoyed reading books; started reading more. I even started to cook more as a hobby. Luckily, I still hadn't used my GI Bill (military education benefit). That's when I decided to attend fulltime college at STI College Kalibo. It gave me an extra income of $1,500 a month (my housing allowance from the military for attending school). My rent in Kalibo was $125; easy decision for me to make (going back to school). Now, Dazel and Leana keeps me busy. Also, our KZbin channel with all the people that I assist in visiting or moving to the Philippines. I also make sure I do a workout of some type each day. Life has been good to me.

Good morning my friend. I know exactly where Torrance is located. I had a cousin that lived there when I lived in Long Beach CA. We used to hangout on weekends. I'm sure that area has changed a lot from the 80s. 😃

I visited taguig a year really sweet and humble people and you are soooo right ! about the cost of living you can be very comfortable on a monthly income of 2000month !!!!! BUT i wish it was just a little bit cooler!!!! the tropic can get pretty hot !!!!! BUT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO VISIT!!!!! WORTH GOING AT LEAST ONCE

I always tell people that has never been to the Philippines that the heat in the Philippines is on another level. I have lived in some warm weather in my life; Tucson AZ, San Antonio TX, and Shreveport Louisiana. The heat and humidity just hit different in the Philippines. The minute you walk out of your plane in Manila; if you have to climb down stairs to get on a bus or the minute you walk outside the airport. That heat just hits you. 😃

Hi Ginno! I have been helping getting my Mother ready to sell her house and move to assisted living. Two trips driving from D C. to Chicago and back. The drives caused an inflamed prostate and kidney stones... twice to the urgent care and no work this week! Got great news from Megaworld Bacolod that my condo will be ready six months early. Was shocked that a major project could be completed early in the Philippines! We are coming in late February to see if we can arrange better financing for the mortgage. Then have to start construction to make it a home. We are going to try to make it your way before we return to USA in May! Hope that Dazel will faithfully wear her new eyeglasses. Best, Mark from D.C.
@dazeltv1351Ай бұрын
Hello Mark. Hope you get well soon. Get some rest this week. I have to be careful with my recovery myself; I always pace myself and get plenty of rest. I still have side effects from my chemo/radiation treatments. More likely side effects that I have to live with the rest of my life. It's all good; I still feel blessed each day to be alive. Wow! That is amazing for them to have your condo ready ahead of schedule. From all that I've seen with Megaworld projects; I am impressed. It would be fun if you guys make it our way. We would love to hangout and show you our province of Aklan. Dazel loves her new glasses. Take care my friend.

True words. Do you know anyone that lives in mountainous regions of the Philippines?
@dazeltv1351Ай бұрын
Thank you my friend. I currently don't know anyone that lives in a mountainous region of the Philippines. Baguio City was on my top 3 list after my recon in 2010. I considered Baguio City for a retirement destination because of the cool temperatures. I've taken Dazel twice to Baguio City and planning another trip there in 2025. I've always liked that area. Cool weather while sipping local brewed coffee; priceless. 😃

Hi! Do u have a video on driving in Manila? Debating on whether just use grab or buy a car. We will b moving to Tanza, Cavite.
@dazeltv1351Ай бұрын
I recommend just using Grab when traveling to Manila. I would never dare driving in Manila. The taxis, jeepneys, and buses just drive so aggressive. Very stressful driving in Manila traffic. Cavite is an easier area to drive.
