Thank you once again for your awesome advice, unfortunately my 2 brothers did not last long after they were diagnosed with cancer as well as 2 coworkers; some of them went through treatments, such as yours , radiation as well as chemo, they withered before my very eyes and past, life is but temporary…. Trust in God, his son who showed us the way to everlasting life….

From Kevin: You speak the truth. I had tongue cancer and did 6 chemo (Cisplatin) and 35 radiation treatments. I finished in March this year. Since then I’ve had 2 CT scans and 1 PET scan. So far no reoccurrence but still a lymph node that is reducing. Found out today my TSH numbers were real high and the doctor told me I have hypothyroidism and will be on medicine for the rest of my life. She told me thyroid failure is common when you have cancer and the cancer treatments. Oh well as you know taking another pill a day is not much compared to what we have been through. I’ll also modify my diet like you have. Thanks for giving me the real info on length of recovery for eating . Keep up with your positive attitude and telling about your experience. I’m retired Navy and have been married to my Filipina wife for 49 years.

glad to hear you're doing better. I have some skin cancers, which some were taken care of, some not. mainly on my arms. I tend to protect my arms from the sun and continue on with my day. I don't let it get to me, so all is good. Once I get there, I'll probably wear those sleeve extensions since I prefer to wear short sleeve shirts. My Filipina daughter in-law told me to start wearing sunscreen there for protection, but I'm not a fan of anything oily on my body. but perhaps this would be a good idea living there.
