@@physics77guy ultimately those Memories that You can't Help but post a Huge smile on Your Face every time You think of them are the best "Gifts" for Me, I keep some trinkets For that exact reason, sorry to hear about the watch though, it would have been cool to have had restored, but such is life, at least You have Your Memories, everything else can be taken, and by the time Memory starts to Fail us?... Well ... Other things will fill our minds... 😂 How about trying to find one the same... Or similar, and try to keep it as long as possible, build up the same "love" He had for it.. may not be the SAME watch but You can still build a good relationship with it.

The great thing about more people getting turned on to watchmaking is that many more of these wonderful watches will be saved. Especially less expensive, vintage watches that aren’t worth the cost of a professional restoration. Thanks again Mr. Nekkid Watchmaker

I also admire is that you can leave a watch looking like new without it losing its character. Blessings to you and your family. Keep up the good work!

Another piece of recent history resurected. Here in Australia, we have similar looking watches with equally nice movements if not more common like the ETA 2879 or 2873 branded Felicia in the 1970's. I think every Aussie of my vintage had a Felicia around that time. Especislly Nurses as i believe 100% of the Nurses broach watches here through the 1970's carried that name. I have one very much like the case you repaired Joe, only it has a divers bezel... beautiful to see these time machines back in favour !! Thanks again ... Toddy

I have not seen much from you in a while but this was just what I needed. Better than therapy so calming to hear the narration and the expertise is just amazing to watch.

I have zero interest in watches and only own a cheap digital one to see the time in the bedroom at night, but I do love this channel, the calmness is very good for me and I do like to see the transformation of even the most basic watches you show us.

Even though the gold case didn’t want to go to the polishing wheel it turned out awesomely beautiful. Great work restoring this older beauty.

Hi Joe, I also suffer from hayfever and found that all remedies put me straight to sleep. Then a friend recommended Pirinase nasal spray, which I eventually tried. It takes a few days to kick in, but it really works and I never feel at all sleepy on it. And thank you for the many hours of gentle and funny entertainment I've had from your work.

Loved the humour when your wayward hand was intent on polishing the case, gave me the best laugh of the day. As ever, fascinating stuff and so engaging.

My kind of watch! I've found a few forgotten gems now for peanut prices. Sometimes a sit on a radiator brings them back to life ( a squirt of WD-40 in the case of one old rusty trench watch ) and it's great to know that given the TLC of someone with your skills they could once again be timepieces of miniature mechanical magnificence. Learning this stuff is fascinating as its history is what has shaped the world. More knowledge however, might see me better prepared for the future. A future which might reveal our faith in electronics misplaced.....

Nice! A Rotary was the first watch I had; given to me by my grandfather, rather, willed to me. I loved that watch and still have it. I wish I could afford a watchmaker to look at my old watches to restore them.

I love the 70s rotary watches. I inherited a couple and never paid them much attention until I got into 'tinkering', now I have a few. For the most part their all AS movements.
