I have always enjoyed the company of men, but for the last 10 years I have been mostly single and couldn’t be happier. My kids are grown and for the first time in years I can do what I want, when I want and with whom I want. I have time to explore my own interests, and delve into my work and hobbies in ways I couldn’t have ever done if I was still married. I am not anti-romance or anti-relationship/marriage. I’m just perfectly fine on my own. 🎉

I just turned 71 and look max 55. I am fit and healthy and have no healthproblems. Most men, 60 and up are looking for a cook, cleaning lady, sometimes for a nurse and an occational rump. No thanks. I am full of life and need a younger and fit companion, otherwise I stay gladly single.

I'm 75 and have the same husband for 25 years. I was almost 50 when we met and married. If this didn't work out, I was D-O-N-E with that stuff. I will never marry again now...most men are looking for younger women and/or if she is the same age, he's looking for someone to cook, clean and take care of him. No thank you.

This was a really fascinating interview!! While I am not in the modern dating scene and am happily married for 30 years I find this absolutely fascinating to understand how in the heck this all works in the current setting. I found your guest very likable and to the point and sincere about his desire to coach in this area! You were great too Dominique in your contributions and your sweet sweet vulnerability on the topic❤ you melted my heart as I could see it affecting you deeply. Favorite quote was “he might be a top chef, super model or wrote scholar, but if he hasn’t texted you in 4 days, he’s a s***** boyfriend” that was brilliant and to the point! Giving permission to TRUST your feelings as a woman instead of rationalizing that we’re just too sensitive or overreacting etc was also very freeing advice. I often diva myself in that quandary in friendships so I will be applying it there. Also I wholeheartedly agree with his point and your nana’s point about a good relationship should be easy and safe..😅 we’ve had our share of challenges in our 30 years of marriage but I will say it has always met that criteria from day one! That’s how he was so very different from those I dated before him!! Again wonderful interview and I hope you have him back for more elaboration 😊😊😊I shared this with my friend in her 60s who is in the modern dating scene and I really think it has some very valuable guidance she may find helpful.

What a great episode. It was fire. I had to keep re-winding while taking notes. I will be playing this over and over. I added it to my favorites. I hope that he does come back, and soon. I downloaded the resources. I can't wait to read them. He gave such great information and tips. I can't wait to listen to his podcasts. Now, I just have to find the men. I am trying to manifest a worthy companion for 2024.

I like Evan's ideas. Sometimes there is no solution to the relationship problem and as he said, sometimes the solution is breaking up. I wish more people knew this as an alternative to staying in a bad relationship. I loved this video, very informative and he speaks the truth.

You are a consummate interviewer Dominque. It took me a while to sufficiently warm to Evan to be open enough to really hear what he was saying. I got the impression that it took you a little time too. You persisted and with your deft handling and respectful guidance, he came through. I think you disarmed him with your authenticity, charm and vulnerability. Well done you! You were SUPERB! ❤💪

Many of your interviews are wonderful, but I think this one was the best. I am 76 and in a 6 year relationship with a man 30 years my junior. It feels easy, but yes, it takes an effort. I am in a good place and I am far more confident, secure and happy than my partner, who struggles with issues that I long ago put to rest. I feel a lot of compasion for him as he deals with work, aging parents and twenty-something children. If our relationship ends, I think I will continue to search for love and I will get better at this. I was impressed with everything that Mr. Katz said and I think a woman would be wise to seek this sort of support.. I loved the enchange of energy between you,, Dominique and your guest. This was fun! Thank you!

Melodi, great to hear your positivity! And yes, no matter what, don't live without love, and feeling the sexy femininity that comes with that. It breaks my heart when women especially the 50-60-70 plus ladies who say "they don't need it, like their life as it is" - I know for the majority of them it's total BS - I know this because I once thought and said the same thing as them. Most of them probably need their hormones 'enhanced' - once you get the hormones aligned and reinvigorated, you know that your hot mama days are still very much n play! :)

The key is confidence, really low expectations and knowing exactly what you want and not straying from that. Eharmony is good because you have to put the work in as do the men. And you can be very specific about yourself and what you’re looking for. But it’s not free, not even close.

In general, most men want to be with a younger woman. I would never want to date an older man (I'm 68!). You may just end up as their caregiver since most men die younger than women do. I am still married and would not want to do a romantic relationship again.

I am about to turn 50. I've been on dating cites my whole adult life, almost treating it like a job. I've had relationships but looking back I was either too selective or was left broken hearted. Dominique, a girlfriend and I were just talking about this part night. The one I had been dating looked perfect for husband #2, after being single for the last 20 years, and then it blew up in my face. This talk and information is just what I need because I had a blast being single in my late 30's and 40's, but it really does suck once I hit the 50's mark. ❤

You're exactly right - I too loved my independence and enjoyed the 'single'ish' life I was leading throughout my 30s, 40's, and by my mid 50s, I was so over it. Plus, over all those years my confidence in loving who I was developed and I knew I deserved to have a Forever Love in my Life. Well, guess what? The Forever Man arrived - via an online dating site - in Oct 2021 and we've just celebrated our first wedding anniversary. I've never been so happy in my life. I've had a very successful career, lots of friends, little grandchildren, travel, beautiful home, nice boyfriends and such, honestly, I had the dream as they say, the trappings, but I didn't have what my heart 'needed' - as Evan said, I am living proof that you can have the guy who loves you more than anything on this planet. We both have adult children, and I have the grandchildren, but there's a greater happiness I enjoy with having this darling man in my life. I had to do the 'work' though. If you're not online dating - please get back on the horse. Keep the faith! xx

Great podcast, Thank you! One of the best pieces of advice I've heard from a psychologist is to MATCH WEAKNESSES. Everyone thinks of matching the caliber (strengths) of two people. But it's the weaknesses that have the potential to ruin a relationship's potential. When one person is expressing a weakness, if their partner responds in such a way that it soothes things, instead of heaping more stress on top of stress, it will really help the relationship go the distance.

If you can’t have a loving relationship with yourself FIRST - then the other person in a relationship will be the projections of the things you judge in yourself and haven’t accepted. The “roles” either get played out to teach us who the “ mirror” represents or we let all relationships be the best love relationship because we start with ourselves and free that starting point before we set a goal for the role-playing of two people eager to “barter” and call it love. Peace is within and only do we understand that when we forgive ourselves and everyone else for trying to give us what we can give ourselves - pure peace from pure forgiveness❤️ that’s pure God in each of us….

I've been online dating for over 20 years and honestly never encountered a 'scammer'.... I hear this a lot but it doesn't resonate with me. I can't imagine how one 'falls' for a scammer. Like, that must be something a woman projects & so called scammers pick up on. I always knew my boundaries in every aspect of online dating. Maybe I should do what Evan is doing - since apparently women see so many scammers around every corner so to speak.

Ugh Dominque. He was so not the one for this topic. He was strange and did not come across believable. Woman’s instinct….. 1. Im 54 most men don’t want women this age and want to go back to a young woman. No matter how good you look. It’s just men 2. Learn who you are all over again at this age and with the free time. Let the Lord show you who you are. 3. Walk on faith and let your beauty and confidence be from Him. I learn to live for an audience of ONE. The Lord first. 4. Live one day at a time, with a smile. Why do women always complain that it's the men that suck and treat us horribly. Welll I see ALOT of women who suck and treat men horribly. I have women friends who are so picky and keep picking the wrong type of men. They look at dating as if they're in their 20s and they go for looks first. More mature women need to look at kindness, great sense of humor, generosity, and with time they become more handsome and that physical connection grows too.

Yes, putting too much emphasis on looks is very superficial. The kindest people I have known weren't necessarily the "best looking" but their other qualities are so much more important and not likely to fade.

I married at 31 had to kids, got my amazing career but hated my loveless marriage. I got divorced 10 years ago, 9 years ago i bumped into my 1st love and we slowly started dating. 9 years later, we love each other more than ever. He adores me, treats me like a Queen, he loves my 20 and 12 year old and they him. We both want marriage, but i wont until zachri turns 16. I live with him every weekend but i enjoy having my own home too. Ive never had an issue with dating , and i thank God for enabling my 1st love and i to hook up again.

Hi Dominique. This was a strange interview, forgive me for saying. I feel like he’s being a little condescending. I fell that each time you’ve asked him a direct question, he has been evasive, even though he said he wasn’t. Mmmm…

What if you’re not where you hoped you would be financially in your life in your late 50s, and that is holding you back from feeling worthy and that you can bring something to the table to someone who you will probably meet that is more financially in a better situation? Because if you want to bring something more to the table financially and you can’t or aren’t there yet and it’s still gonna be a while before you can how do you approach that into you even bother dating?

I don't think that you should let that hold you back at all. I am probably old school, but why do you need to necessarily make as much money as the man does or even close? If you do, great but if not, so what? If a man loves you, that shouldn't matter.🤷🏻‍♀️

I had my doubts about internet dating but this has put me right off! I’m not playing that game. And what does he mean he’s a dating coach for high achieving women??? Do they have to live up to his expectations or just be able to afford his course? Some women are not high achievers. They might not have had the right opportunities or put their partner’s opportunities first. Rebuilding a life isn’t just about finding another partner, that might not even figure. He makes it sound like finding one is the ultimate be all and end all answer to everything. If he told me that the seven years it’s taken so far to get over what happened before, is seven years that I could have met someone who lit up my life, I would deem him totally insensitive. That past life which he doesn’t focus on because everyone is hurt and broken is more significant than he seems to think. People are individuals with individual circumstances, we can’t be batched together as having the same sort of problems. I don’t care how much research he’s done! All that blah blah blah, circumventing your questions, gesticulating and waving arms in the air as well…. 😵‍💫He gave me a headache!
