Dr Dawn is one sharp cookie. All of her insights and research are so relevant to my world of Recruiting in medical device. More proof of how much Dr Dawn cares and is on top of every little thing is she replied to EACH comment where applicable. Rare. I like her feminine flare in demeanor while presenting strong and assertive. You CAN be both!

I have a beautiful daughter who is an educator and a MMA/ Boxing champ and a step daughter who was raised by a single dad (my husband) She is an ER doc and she has two beautiful little girls! There are a lot of bada$& women out there on the forefront , making a difference. I put this book on my 2024 to read list. ❤

Thank you AGAIN Dominique not only for all that YOU do to help inspire women everywhere, but thank you again for ALL of your support and for being such a fan of my book - I can't even begin to express how much that means to me. And let me just add that if you get a chance to meet the lovely Dominique in person, as I did, she is even MORE beautiful in person. I don't know how she managed that, but it's true! Both she and Courtney are gracious and kind, and are a true example of women helping women. Thank you for your hospitality for both me and my daughter - and Oscar, if your Mom reads this to you, thank you for being such a cutie pie. ❤

When I retired I wanted to do print modeling. In the smaller scheme of things I chose to model me. And that is what I have done. A few photo shoots. Which built my confidence. Selfies, because I like me. 🤗 Being Bold!!! And Beautiful! Dominique your video from a few years ago in how to take a selfie captured my attention. I have followed you since. Miss your Mom. Absolutely! And I’m thrilled you got so much out of the podcast. Some simple ways that I stay on top of things is to take the time to actually time my every day tasks. For example, I know that it takes me exactly 2 minutes to make my bed. This may seem a little obsessive, but I promise you, you just have to invest this kind of time at the beginning, and it’s so worth it. You don’t time everything. Just the things that you have to do. Then, once you know how long your tasks take, YOU will be in the driver’s seat and NOT your to do list. I have 1 million of these tips, but that’s one of my favorites, and I hope that helps!👍😃

There is so much here I don't know where to begin. The big picture people is not just in business but in all situations, when the pressure is on, Master the Mindset and create a plan. Not knowing the next steps creates fear and intimidation.

While I certainly believe people of both genders should have the freedom to pursue their career of choice, I hope we enter an era where women who choose to work inside the home (an underrated but essential role) can do so just as freely and without being scrutinized or mocked for something that comes so naturally for many of us... homemaking. I've worked in education as well, and I've seen many children who would have benefitted from more positive attention inside the home.
@drdawnshoptalk11 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your feedback and I couldn't agree with you more about the immense value that ALL working women bring to the table, whether their work is in OR outside of the home. ❤
@suzy175010 ай бұрын
There is a lot of societal reverence already given to women who stay home including countless mom channels here on YT - it's a whole market/demographic. And while, of course, everyone deserves and should treated with respect, there's also a grace in acknowledging that some people, like this woman, HAVE made extraordinary accomplishments thru their own hard work. I don't think recognizing that diminishes anyone else...

I truly appreciate the intent behind this video although the overall narrative "we can do it without men / strong independent women etc" is old fashioned and quite frankly outdated. I get these videos are catered to a certain demographic who still struggles with "feminism" and equality but it would be good to see something different as well where women don't feel the need to define themselves in contrast with men, motherhood and other stereotypes. I'm 50 and don't feel the need to find my identity comparing myself to men, children etc. There is definitely another way.
@liana213611 ай бұрын
Insightful comment, thank you. I reached a point in my life when I realized that "feminism" really hadn't served me well at all. I then stumbled upon Aaron Russo's revelation about the origins of second wave feminism, a social engineering program that was funded by men and had nothing to do with equality, equal pay, etc. Really just propaganda to undermine the family.
@drdawnshoptalk11 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your insightful comments - I can understand and appreciate your point of view. My perspective was based on the gender differences I've observed that can be pretty pervasive, rather than from the perspective of defining oneself based on those observations, if that makes sense.
