I am 12 weeks pregnant and getting tested for Lupus next week. As much as I don't wish this on anybody, I find comfort knowing that I'm not alone in trying to figure out what is going on with my body. Thank you so much for sharing your journey, it is helping me more than you know! Stay strong & I'm sending positive vibes your way!

As far as your hair goes, I started using function of beauty and after only a month I noticed my hair was falling out and I have legit missing hair and bald spots. :( I would definitely look in to that as well. I have endometriosis which has been so hard to live with, but you learn how to live with it, it takes time to figure your body out. I hope you feel better Lex!

I bought Function Of Beauty, too. Someone I follow was sponsored by it and I fell for it. I didn't even use it a month and had huge clumps fall out. I lost all my waves as well. I cut my hair and am now using a natural shampoo bar and I'm finally seeing growth. I'm so sorry you experienced the hairloss!! I hope you find a regimen that works for you. People seriously beware of that crap!

Getting a big diagnosis can be super scary. I remember watching my mom go through it, then going through it myself. No matter what happens, making sure you're in a good place mentally is so important. I'm glad you're looking out for your mental health through all this! I will be praying for peace, the best possible outcome with your doctor appointment, and an easy transition through all this.

I'm sorry that you have to wait so long for a diagnosis. I was diagnosed with arthritis when I was 10, I'm now 37. I've had highs and lows. I had a period of good remission where I got to do 2 tough mudders and many other muddy challenges. That lasted for about 5 years then I got diagnosed with another chronic illness (fibromyalgia and Crps) But I have a good life. The right medication can make a big difference and as you already mentioned the right life style. I know you don't want advise but as someone who feels your pain, can I please just say listen to your body. If it needs rest then rest, it's a tough lesson to learn and I'm still learning it after all these years, but not pushing it past its tolerance is better for you in the long run. Also after having my children I had big flares which is very common and they lasted several months, but did settle down eventually. Having a chronic illness sucks, and accepting you have one is hard. Take all the time you need to understand what is happening but know that you're not alone. Hugs.

I have hypothyroidism with Hoshimotos. My first main symptoms were unexplained chemical pregnancies. Later I dealt with muscle cramping in my legs and some joint pain between ovulation and my period. But the cramping and joint pain happened after I had already been diagnosed. Once I got on medication I noticed my energy level picked up dramatically. My biggest problem has been fluctuations. With some diet changes I have been working to control this. I'm all about moderation, so I have never completely cut out things I love to eat, just maybe eat less of those.

Sending the Fitzgerald family all of my love and support through these times. I’m not a person of prayer, but Lex I think of you often and hope you’re doing alright. I also struggle with medical anxiety so I sort of understand how you’re feeling. The unknown is scary, but you are such a strong and resilient person. Chronic illness feels so unfair, but finally getting my own personal answers gave me a basis of things I needed to change in my life to make myself feel better. The answers feel so daunting but can also bring you so much relief. Feel all of the feelings, and please reach out if you need it and feel comfortable doing so ❤️.

From a follower of yours who has an autoimmune disease, I know how scary the diagnosis can be. However a comforting thing is that medicine has come so far and with the right treatment all that discomfort and pain you've had to live with, can finally be eased and a diagnosis can end up leaving you with a better quality of life :) 💖 my tip would be (and this took me years to even comprehend) above food and lifestyle factors, try and use techniques to limit your stress and anxiety. I think for inflammation that stress is one of the biggest triggers but also the easiest to dismiss 💖💖💖

We have a lot of the same symptoms. I’ve been looking for a diagnosis since about 2011-12. All I really know is that my thyroid-stimulating hormone is overactive and my thyroid is basically attacking itself. Rheumatoid and lupus have been ruled out and I was told I had general “inflammatory arthritis.” I’m super worried that this is the reason I’m not pregnant yet 😕
