I did a voice input for the search term IPP. Sure enough, it gave me "I pee pee everywhere". Thanks so much for your video. I have had the HP 2755 for quite some time but have not been able to interface it to my Acer Chromebook 14.

Thank you for the comment. If you are not connecting to the HP2755e printer, please check for updates on your Chromebook. The Chrome OS, needs to the latest version. Also, have you tried the HP smart app? I go over how to connect to it via the IPP address in my other video, but you may also try a direct connect via a USB cable.

I connected my HP Chromebook 14 via my router. I couldn't get HP Smartapp (phone 3 years old) so pressed wifi button on router, with printer on, & after a few minutes they started talking to each other. I was so pleased, I nearly fell off the chair! Now, when I want the printer I just switch it on & it connects automatically, in about 40 sec. Printer is HP 2700.

Ouch.... It is not the chromebook that is causing the issue, but the Canon 2522. Many Canon printer models can be tricky. If the 2522 printer is on the compatible list, then you may try connecting that printer directly to the Chromebook via a usb cable.

I know this is off subject, but you help me set up a printer to print from my chrome book and all this time I don’t think I had my IP address enable. I can’t get my videos to play on my portable external hard drive when I plug in the hat drive to the chrome book. A few will play that looked like it was upload from a phone, but it says file type is not supported on the others. Any suggestions or help? Thanks!

You may plug the printer into the Chromebook via a USB cable if it has no IP address. You may need a media player app, like VLC. I use VLC on my Chromebook to play some movies.

I believe you can on that model. You can connect your printer physically to a Chromebook using a USB cable.

I ordered one of the cheaper Canon printers anyway that you listed, because on questions and answers the MG2522 got some bad answers like it won't work and kind of complicated. I have a second question, there's another video by you that I couldn't understand (I'm going on 70 and have lost some brain cells). Is someone about printing going to be not free or not easy to do, you talk about putting in an IPP address. It's your "how to print with a Chromebook print free, no apps"

Yes, You may use the USB cable on most printers now
