It’s amazing how well the anime understands fishing. The B roll of the smiling as he finished pre-tying leaders the night before is something I have done countless times as a passionate fly angler.

As a real life angler, I'm very happy about this show. Fishing is enjoyable but it's not always easy and glamourous. I'm hoping it'll shine a good light on our sport and give it the Your Lie in April treatment. They definitely nailed a lot of details as well. It's too bad it probably won't get the popularity it deserves. Fishing doesn't really appeal to the masses and anime fans aren't inherently into the outdoors.

Good anime. Specially pleased with how they just spat out some "message" in the middle of the episode for the protagonist. I have two expectations, one if to have fun, the other is that the protagonist dies in the end.

yeh, depending on how the rest of the show goes, it can definitely be the hidden gem of the season, but it's still too early to tell.

I just don't know what to expect in the future from this show. As the opening episode it was good, but nothing was outstanding. The "loan collectors" were more dumb than funny.
