I’m going to have to start with my favorite today… the money 💸💰💵 cowrie! Sooooo pretty! ❤️ My second favorite was that huge limpet, so happy you picked it up. 😊 The giant hairy Triton was fabulous too! I always love ALL the shells 🐚🐚🐚 you find. So different from what I find. Thank you for another fun adventure Maddie! 🥰🥰🥰

G'day Pam 👋🏻💖 Yessss the Money Cowrie is awesome 🤑 this is a really nice one; but of shine and a nice yellow tone (they can be whiter, or extremely yellow in far north Queensland). I was gifted a slightly worn away Money Cowrie from this beach by a fellow sheller; it was white with grey in the middle...quite different than what I collected this time. I digress, sorry 😅 I was hoping that you'd like seeing the big limpet 😲 it's not much to look at on top, but the silver underneath is quite lovely ❤️ That Giant Hairy Triton was a lucky find on a day that mostly just had smaller shells. I think you find much larger shells in Texas and Louisiana; those Whelks, Moons, and Conches are exciting as well! Thank you so much for watching 🥰

G'day Donna 👋🏻💖 That Monkey Cowrie is a cuties; it's also nice to see a different kind of cowrie sometimes! I still have a few other cowries from here that I've never found, but they're mostly reef dwelling ones...I feel like I might have some luck someday with them too, though! Thank you so much for watching 🥰

Hey Maddie👋🏼 WOW! What an adorable Humphreys Cowry! Definitely a favorite one on this hunt!! 4:50 Very gem little Yellow Tinted Cowry. I hope he dries shiny ✨ How awesome was it to find that Giant Hairy Triton 😯 Great surprise! The Zebra Volute is another great find! Good shape too! 😊 9:45 Awesome Eroded Cowry 🤩 Great markings on it too! The Money Cowry is really nice. Love the colors 😯 Thanks for taking us along!! TTFN 👋🏼 ❤

G'day Mimi 👋🏻💖🌊 I was really pleased to see such a pretty Humphrey's Cowrie 😲 they're really not common here!! Ohhh, I've found a few very nice and shiny Yellow-tinted Cowries over the past few months...I can't remember if the top of my head if this one was shiny?? It might have been 🤣 ahh Mimi, I'm sorry I don't know. Oh oh, I haven't watched this episode in a while, I almost forgot about the lucky Giant Hairy Triton 🤩 but I think the Money Cowrie was the most lucky. Ahh and you also liked the Zebra Volute and the Eroded Cowrie too! Honestly, it was such a good day for the shell find!! Thank you so much for watching adventure 🥰 and letting me remember it again through you ❤️

Lovely cowries today! I love the ones with stripes especially. Ohhhh the Zebra Volutes! So pretty! The Money Cowrie is a new one to me! Very nice! Very unusual. I think I still like the snakeheads better. My fav is the Zebra Volutes but that Money is the most unusual. ❤

G'day Green Thumb Gardener 👋🏻☘️❤️ Hehe, does this mean that your favourite plants are also stripey? 🦓 Zebra plants?? Ahhh, sorry 😂 I'm thrilled that you liked the Zebra Volutes this time, and that Money Cowrie too!! It's quite a lovely little cowrie...it's also quite common in other parts of the world; I'm a bit surprised that it's much rarer at this beach! Thank you so much for watching 🥰

Your so fortunate to have all those beautify cowries. My favorite and my absolute favorite is the Angoria shell.
@ShellingAdventures2 ай бұрын
G'day Joyce 👋🏻🐚 Oh don't I know it; I love those cowries 😂! Oh my goodness, do you mean Angaria? The Angaria shells (also called Dolphin shells) are absolutely stunning with how they create spikes all around their shells like that!! I can find a few rare ones here, though they are too rough and tumbles to have their spikes; I think the ones collected from deeper water have a higher chance of being perfect 🤔 Anyhoo! Thank you so much for watching 🥰

I'm so pleased that you liked the episode; there was a lot of fun shells 🐚 and I could finally tick off that Money Cowrie from my shelling bingo list 😂 those Zebra Volutes were lovely too, but that Giant Hairy Triton was a really lucky one as well. @ShellingAdventures3 ай бұрын
G'day Guadalupe 👋🏻💖 Ohhh that coral is pretty awesome 😎 I found massive pieces of this type of coral at Yeppoon a few months ago; but just little bits wash up here. The Zebra Volutes are bright orange in Yeppoon as opposed to the cream coloured ones here...it's crazy what washes up at different beaches! That Giant Hairy Triton was a really lucky find among all of the smaller shells this time ❤️🐚 As always, thank you so much for watching 🥰

G'day Annie 👋🏻💖🏖️ Haha, yeah I think a lot of kids and families are just there to enjoy the beach...it also helps that they left to go to lunch elsewhere 😂 so there was still a few goodies around! Good morning, Maddie What school holiday do your schools have? You found some wonderful cowries. The money cowrie is lovely. What a large limpit. The coral pieces are nice. The zebra volutes are pretty lovely. I really like the juvenile shells. The hairy is a good size. Thank you for another wonderful shelling adventure. It is nice to see the live critters as well. Maddie have a wonderful day.

G'day Toni 👋🏻💖 The main holidays are the breaks between terms/semesters; usually about two weeks each, with the summer holidays (Dec-Feb) lasting about seven weeks. Right now, it's the holiday break between semesters three and four; the spring weather here is bringing the kids and families to the beaches. On to the shells!! The Money Cowrie is a cutie, but somehow, I knew people would like that big limpet 😲 not much to look at on the top, but the underside has a nice shine 🤩 The Zebra Volutes really jumped out this time; I usually dont have so much luck with them 🦓 and I'm glad that you enjoyed the small juvenile shells, as well as the large mature Giant Hairy Triton 🐚 Thank you so much for watching another fun adventure 🥰

Any time you find a shell you haven’t found before is so exciting. What is the school holiday you are having? Our next day’s off will be Columbus Day long weekend. Love the zebra’s. I’m sure there are others! 😊
@ShellingAdventures3 ай бұрын
G’day Jan 👋🏻💖 It sure is; it’s nice to know that there are still mysteries waiting for us at the beach 🏖️ Ahh, this round of school holidays is the two week break between term 3 and term 4 for the kiddos. When term 4 ends (two weeks before Christmas) the kids will have a six or eight week summer school holiday break over the new year. You’ve got some public holidays coming up with Columbus Day and Turkey Day 😁 we don’t have those in Australia! I think the next public holiday is Christmas, Boxing Day (December 26; but nowadays it’s like your Turkey Day’s Black Friday) and New Year’s Day. Is Columbus Day a big celebration, or just a quiet day off for everyone? Thanks for watching 🥰

What a beautiful assortment! love the zebra volute...while you were comparing the money cowire to the ring top cowrie, I imagine the cowries having a conversation..."oh yeah, I made the video today...my cousin was on a few weeks ago" lol
@ShellingAdventures3 ай бұрын
G'day Leslie 👋🏻🏖️ Haha, this cracked me up?!! At first I thought of this as a bit morbid, because I show the empty shells like "yep, ol'cousin Bob there kicked the bucket last week and ended up in a shelling video" 😂 Ahhh, and that I realized that yes, I do show enough live shells for this to me a lot less morbid 🤣 Sorry, I made it weird, but it still cracked me up in the most good natured way possible??? Thank you for your kind words and the humor 😉 and thanks for watching 🥰

Hi Maddie the money cowrie is my fav from this video. I found my first Arabian cowrie at Tannum sands 😍🎉
@ShellingAdventures3 ай бұрын
G'day Jane 👋🏻🐚 Oh nice!! I didn't realize there were Arabians up there, I figured there would be the same shells as the mudflats in Yeppoon. Awesome, I wish I had've stopped there on my way back from Yeppoon a few months ago...I was torn between Tannum Sands and Woodgate. I decided on checking out Woodgate because if it was good, I'd be able to say trip to there. Unfortunately, it was not so good for shells 😅 nice little town, but not for shelling. Thanks for the info, it definitely a spot that I'll check out someday. Thanks for watching 🥰

Its funny I always used to shell mainly on the other side of the lighthouse cause i could never find much on the north side. You got some great finds for the holidays esp the trighton.
@ShellingAdventures3 ай бұрын
G'day Danielle 👋🏻🏖️ Phew, it's nice seeing the kids and families having fun at the beaches, but I'll be glad when I don't have the fight so much for a parking spot 😂 I do like the eastern side of the lighthouse, but I do find a lot of good shells on the north side, but not much recently on the middle section of the north side; I find more where I start out, and sometimes near the river mouth side. The minis are always the best across the north side though 😉 you gotta give them a change during the mid moon tides 🌊 Thanks for watching 🥰

G'day Brian 👋🏻🏖️ Ahhh you are right, I probably didn't even have it in my eyes 😅 No worries though, I actually very picky about which cowries I collect; there are plenty here, and a lot of them are dull or worn away, so I usually try to only collect and show the best ones...otherwise my home would be overrun with old Cowrie shells 😂 nice to k ow you're on top of things, I bet you'd find some beauties at this beach!!
