The crusher is also called a "stamper" as the iron rods used to drop down crushing (stamping) the rock and gold bearing ore into smaller pieces exposing the gold. From there it went into the tumbler to divide it up further where water would be used to separate the gold from the trash. Old age technology that still in use today as its cheap to run.

Slight correction, Sandhurst was Bendigo, you’re thinking of Sandridge, which was the old name of Port Melbourne. Nice video though 👍🏻
