The yard absolutely needed this upgrade. It will save you money in the long run. A heavily soiled vehicle will use more water and product to clean, and it's cost more in staff costs to keep a yard clean if it wasn't a concrete yard. I love the O'Donovan bits, the west cork man DNA slips out in his mannerisms and Daniel loves buzzing off him.

The type of pump your are referring too is peristaltic .A peristaltic pump, also commonly known as a roller pump, is a type of positive displacement pump used for pumping a variety of fluids. The fluid is contained in a flexible tube fitted inside a circular pump casing.

Good morning Daniel. I love your show and I realized something interesting. You often have machines break down and sending them for repairs and service and Rehabilitation..... How about doing a stand alone video on the importance of your workshop and how you work around machines unavailable for use while they get fixed and still keeping your business floating and working to make profits.

Great to hear you've implemented cyber security awareness training Daniel. With most cyber or fraud related attacks, unfortunately, human beings will always be the weakest link, so periodic awareness training is so important. As you grow your business, it's worth getting expert consultants in to provide guidance on various measures that you can introduce. E.g. technical controls through software deployed on work laptops/computers, and then other preventive controls such as awareness training etc. Also worth having incident response and business continuity plans ready should the worst case every occur (e.g. large scale fraud, data theft, work systems compromised and inaccessible).

Great video Sir I always enjoy watching your videos this is the first time I have ever commented you had someone ask you about what oils to use in one your machines as you are setting up your own servers and maintenance area in your yard why not ask the companies what oils can be used and transfer them to a check board where all your equipment gets serviced and Maintain and it’s one less thing your don’t have to bother you about it’s there for everyone to read plus you know what to reorder as well . When I worked a loading shovel we used to hard face the blades before fitting them & we found it would double the life (run of hard face weld along all leading edges ) it takes a bit of time cost is minimal , does need pre planning, just an idea !

Where I’m from we have a few feet of overburden before the bedrock. To get it bare we use a old machine tire and a thumb attachment to scrape it clean. Might help you out in the yard!

I'm sure you're probably well aware, there is a company (TPS, Trade parts specialists) who sell genuine VW group parts, so you can avoid dealership prices. Our local branch, in NI, is at Mallusk, but apparently they have branches nationwide. As always..very informative, and "good craic"!!!

So do you have your silos = cement, petrol etc. Connected to the suppliers, then you do not have to check and order. Where you could say to the suppliers when it gets this low send truck with above materials. It is then on them and you have just in time ordering = saving $$. You may have to have silos that do not expand or contract. Though to set up the load cells.
