Good for you, Jess, for taking that time for yourself! It is SO important. And good for Miah for recognizing that and supporting you in that endeavor, too!! I remember when my children were small, I would occasionally go for a girl's weekend of crafting away. When I would come home, I was a much better person for having that time away. I was recharged, calmer and ready to be back at it!! I so appreciate my husband for giving me that time!! Everyone needs that! Have a wonderful day!!

You dear Jess are an absolute delight and kindred Spirit!! I ❤ love your passion for life & family and sharing your Faith the way you do. You draw people to his light in you. Father God the Great Creator of all things is so good & faithful . Your an inspiration!! My friends and I would love to meet you someday this side of Heaven. I strive to get it all done too, mainly because I'm 57 and have many health issues but God gives me my portion of strength that I need daily. My hubby of 36 years and I are now empty nesters but have a house full of kids & grandbabies some days and our lives are completely full. We made the choice to downsize and now live in a Tiny house in Southern Illinois and have a small farm with chickens and dogs and a HUGE garden with a couple small greenhouses. We are so grateful for his provision and Blessings. May he Bless you and your precious family and farm...hugs & prayers 🙏 ❤ So glad you are feeling better girl ❤

Me time is always nice. Even if one cannot afford a trip - just shopping, going on a walk, driving around, etc, without kids or chores is so nice. When I was raising my kids, once a month, I tried to have 1 day to do whatever I wanted. I even used to go to the Library or thrift shopping. Great to see Toby. The strawberries looked great - love fresh strawberries. Your raised beds look amazing.

First day of spring and in the California high desert and we are getting drenching rain in the morning, scattered showers this afternoon, and potential freezing temps with possible snow and rain tonight and tomorrow morning. Should be our last freeze this year, finally. Now my toes can begin to thaw out! I am definitely a frost tender flower, a bit old and tattered around the edges. Glad you had some personal time, Jess, to rest, relax and renew. We always had baked potatoes with meat loaf. Try as I might, I could never end up having enough meatloaf for left overs when I made it for my son and grandson. It was their all time favorite. I swear they both raided the fridge in the middle of the night. Might be enough for a packed lunch sandwich the next day for my grandson who was in elementary school, but that was it. Three to four pounds of meat cooked along with ample veggies, either green beans or broccoli, and baked potatoes, then it disappeared! Beautiful memories, my son died October 20, 2021, just days after his 49th birthday, and my grandson, who moved back with his Mom after his Dad's passing, just celebrated his 18th birthday. We are praying he gets all his work done in time to graduate high school this coming May. He plans on going into trade school, leaning towards welding right now. My, the time flies. Love watching your boys in the garden, what treasured companions, and wonderful memories for you. Seed treasures in your purse? I have some lavender seeds from last year I pulled out of the pocket of a coat, wrapped in a tissue, awaiting planting this year. Glad I'm not as crazy as I thought! Blessings to you and yours, Jess! Thank you for sharing your family, farm, plans, dreams, excitement, life and lessons with us! It's most appreciated!

Love this channel! It's the place were I can come and openly say that I walked past (worm) poop today and thought to myself how lucky I was to have spotted it and that I'd need to come back and collect it. Also seed packets to me are just like books. I can happily spend a good amount of time just browsing.

Toby is so tall, and so grown-up! What a great kiddo you've got in him, Jess. I love all your boys, as I am the mom of a boy, who always had his friends filling the house, some of them living here at times. I love that BIG energy, but know that moms of boys are a special breed of mom. Boys take a special kind of focus, and now that my boy is a 35 year old man, I can say that that energy and focus WILL come back to you--in your case, 5 times over! Bless you, and I am very happy to hear you're taking care of you. 🤗
