One more thing to know about the Ducky One 2 Mini (which maybe other keyboards support this but nobody ever really talks about it) is that you can on a hardware level make the Caps Lock key an Fn key. This feature for me makes it a viable main keyboard replacement as the Caps Lock button is so much easier to press than the regular Fn key at the bottom right. For example, this especially makes it much easier to access the right handed function keys compared to if you had to press them while also trying to hold down the right hand side Fn key.

Honestly, the Anne Pro II is the best. Having that tap arrow key function is the deal-breaker. The bottom right 4 keys are arrow keys if you tap them, and they're their original binds if you hold them, so you can use the right shift/ctrl as you would normally on a bigger keyboard.

Why do you like it. 2. Know the bad parts what you dont like or the problem of the keyboard itself. 3.You need to know what theres a lot better keyboards 4. @shadeoskullex3 жыл бұрын
@@bartfelix2949 I disagree with how you feel about having a keyboard angled. How you have your keyboard is all up to your personal preference, most of the time I have it slightly angled downwards to the right, due to my keyboard being huge, though some have it that way for many different reasons, either it be their keyboards are huge or small. It’s not exactly useless to have your keyboard on an angle, as for the reasons written above. Sometimes I even change up and have it in it’s normal position with no tilts or anything, it just depends on how I’m feeling that day.

In my opinion get the Anne Pro 2. The Anne Pro 2’s advantage over this list is the customizability with key functionality. Using the software you can even move things like your Fn key so you can access your F1-12 while using one hand (I swapped my Fn with my windows key) this simple swap basically negated my fear of leaving behind tkl layouts. Also QMK works on this keyboard so tinkerers can literally make this thing do anything they want with it

Really surprised by the ROG Falchion, I've never even heard of it but the fact that its 65% and with good wireless is really cool. You could mod it by desoldering the switches and replacing them with some nice lubed ones but of course that takes time and money + it usually voids the warranty. Interesting board nevertheless. Edit: after checking out the price I can't say it would really be worth buying because you could build a damn good custom keyboard for less than or equal to that...

I wanted to get my first mechanical and 60% keyboard (never had either). I needed something budget so I went with the Redragon K530. Cost about $60, has really good build quality for the price, a ton of awesome features that you normally wouldn't find at the price (it has Bluetooth with 3 different connections that you can switch between, although I use it wired). It has Brown switches which I really like as it's a good balance between Blue and Red (I've tried both). Oh and yeah the switches are hot swappable, and it comes with one Black, Red, and Blue switch so you can try them out before you go and buy a new set. Definitely a great budget option (I think it's cheaper now), and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a budget 60% mechanical keyboard. As an FPS gamer (Apex Legends baby), I'm never going back to a bigger keyboard.

Running the Asus ROG Falchion for gaming and I am loving it for the most part. I did install O-ring dampers on all keys which resolved the bottoming out noise and it feels excellent. However, There is an Achilles heel. I have large hands and so using the left Shift key when sprinting in Warzone etc. I tend to put pressure on left hand side of the key which is using a metal wire with stabilisers and the key can bind up once the pressure across the key is not centred and I have died multiple times because the key got stuck as a result. I love my huntsmen mini with the red switches. But I modded it a lot. It came sounding pretty nasty. But I did the foam mod. I tighten up every single stabilizer on the switches. I lubed the long stabilizers with krytox GPL205. I use 2-3 o-rings on every single key cap to dampen the depress strokes “and that made a huge difference believe it or not”. I switched out the key caps for pudding for the rgb. With those simple mods it’s so quite and sounds like a membrane keyboard now and I honestly love that. It’s so quite you don’t hear anything but has a great feel extremely smooth key stroke that you don’t get with a membrane keyboard. And I also did the magnetic quick disconnect cable to make for easy movement around the house and to store it when not in use being it came with no dust cover.

No exaggeration, the Durgods are just as high quality, if not better, than many keyboards that cost over 10 times as much. The Durgods use a thick aluminum case, heavy backplate, foam sound deadening, full featured software and internal memory for driver-free usage, best stabs in the industry (absolutely ZERO rattle on the shift and space), and they’re available to order with all the best switch options (which all come lubed from the factory). I’ve been using my Hades with Cherry Silent Reds as my work keyboard (so 40+ hours per week) for the past year and it still feels brand new. Actually it feels even better now that the Cherrys are broken in. Can’t recommend these boards enough.

Been using a Ducky Mecha Mini for nearly a year and I love the keyboard, especially with the bottom 4 right special keys remapped to arrow keys without FN. Having the fully metal chassis also improves the bottoming out sound, it’s all but gone, and weighs a metric ton lmao

I bought a Razer Huntsman Mini with Red Switches about a month ago, I came from a BlackWidow Elite and I absolutely love it! I bought it 15% cheaper through education bonus, and I foam-modded the case and spray-lubed all of the swiches, now it’s almost inaudible.

I’ve been gaming on 60% for years and so many people give me weird looks. I love it and of you use the FN you don’t lose any functionality. I really want to build a 60% with a split space bar with the function key in the middle so that I can hit it with my thumb instead of pinky.

The Mecha Mini or one of the special edition Mecha's with the arrow keys take the cake for me. I have both, and I can decide which I like the most. I think $109 for the mecha mini is probably the best bang for your buck. Solid RGB, Good stabilizers, All-metal housing, and switches of your choice ( I have the silvers for an extra $10 on both).
@jerry95483 жыл бұрын
I bought the Vortex Race 3 RGB MX silent red switches (75% keyboard) some weeks ago and I am pretty happy with it. It's the perfect mixture between a keyboard for gaming (my desk is really small) but also for other productivity-related stuff like writing text or programming. My cousin has a 60% and the missing f-keys and the missing arrow keys are really bad if you are used to them. I found 75% Keyboards to fit my needs as a hybrid between gaming and productivity pretty well.

the mecha mini (effectively the one 2 mini with a full aluminum case) imo sounds better than the plastic version, but it’s obviously more expensive as well, the stabs are really shockingly good if you’re coming from a Corsair keyboard.

As someone who have 60% and 80% keyboard for daily use, I wish all the Function key is still on top of the keyboard instead of binding them into the number key. I found that 70% keyboard is just right, however most of them also does not have the function keys.

"zero" rattle on the ducky one 2 mini is a bit of an overstatement since theres still a decent amount of rattle from an enthusiast perspective, still relatively good compared to other gaming keyboards

You should have a look at the Keychron K6 either the base model or the aluminium hot swappable version; BT or wired can be paired to 3 devices, 65% so a touch more forgiving than 60%, Mac or Win support, USB type C, no bloatware and onboard lighting control. Only cons I've found is non standard layout and needs special keycaps and the keys are ABS but they are decent so I'm not worried. I've been blown away by the quality and feels really good to type with for a budget board. I picked up the non hot swappable version on special for $69aud, as it's my first 65% from TKL I wanted to see if I'd like it rather then spend the extra. I definitely would have gone the hot swappable version if I'd know I'd be this happy with it but in saying that the optical browns feel great and I'm more than happy with them. I genuinely think the typing experience is way nicer and feels more premium than some of the top end Corsair, Razer and Logitech's I've tried or owned.

Durgod Venus is a good competitor for the ducky, but I prefer durgod due to one reason. The space bar is rounded and very comfortable. For games like Apex, the space bar is one change you notice the most. As for the rest of it, the stabs are one of the best off the shelf, and the sound is quite nice being lubed.
