Actually you could have tried Mehul Vada Pav ,just opposite to Raj dabeli. Most awesome & spicy flavour. You also missed out Bhajia/ pakoras from Surat. You also should explore so many Surti sweets like Ghari , ghevar , shrikhand etc

:) you should do another visit as the only Surti thing you ate was the eggs at Bhai Bhai and all the varieties of these egg dishes started from Surat not Baroda ;) ... AFAIK Dabeli is from Kachchh, not from Mumbai or Surat, you did not try Khaman/Locho :), aalu puri and so many other food inventions

If you want to eat street food in surat, you should have tried Aloo puri, Khawsa, locho, khaman, rasawala khaman, kumbhaniya bhajji and so many other things . These are some items that are only available in Surat in it’s tastiest and purest form. It’s very disappointing to surties that you guys just eat this regular food and create videos on it.

if there was a Michelin star that can be given to street food the Smoked Paratha should get it - hands down. You had Canteen Vada which are little on the sweet side but if you eat Vada of Vadapav you will surely forget Mumbai Vadapav! You should have tried Surti Nonveg Dishes like - Special Khatri Tapelu, Mamna, Fish items, Muglai Paratha in Rander, and Chicken Khawsa(KhowSuey). you missed so many dishes! Even in snacks/Streetfood you missed - Locho, Sev Khamni, Dumas Bhajia, Idada, Rasawala Khaman, Patra, Gota.. the list is endless!!!! Contact me if you want to have special non veg dishes, The myth of Spicy and Nonveg food in Gujarat will burst even further.
