Finding the BEST WAFFLES in Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪

When you visit Belgium, you’re going to eat waffles. There’s no way around it. Living in Brussels, I love Belgian waffles. There are two type of Belgian waffles: Brussels waffles, which are square shaped and you add toppings or sugar on the top, and liege - oval shaped and the sugar is already on the inside.
I thought it would be a good idea to visit all the most popular and best Brussels waffles joints in the city, eat as many waffles as I can and see which one is the best!

You got the absolute worst waffles (with the exception if Maison Dandoy). Stay away from tourist central. Go to Stocker Market and find the truck owned by Jean Gaston. The absolute BEST waffles, period. We still dream about them in 3 years I lived in Belgium, never found better.

The Liege waffle - what a thing of beauty and agreed - don't top it with a thing.. fruit on the side can be lovely - but these waffles must stand on their own. And to reheat when you're there - that's a crime LOL. Thanks for taking me down memory lane. Been 20+ years since I was last there eating them.

Many years ago I lived in Brussels for a time; I found myself avoiding areas near heavily touristy areas for Waffles. I visited last summer for the first time in years and found that all my favorite waffles spots were gone, however, one was still around. It’s in/off of the Roodebek metro, near the parking garage and escalators, just before you get to the Woluwe mall underground entrance. I believe called something like Belgian Queen (I think). If that’s wrong, it’s the only waffle stand in that area. I hope you have a chance to try it - Enjoy.

Once in my hometown in Greece a Belgian place opened and was doing waffles omg it was the best waffle I had ever tasted..they weren’t bread like fluffy waffle ..it’s was a crispy firm waffle with the best dressings omg omg..anyone please do u have a recipe??? I know Liège gets a bad rep but c'mon, it's not that bad! Try Luikse Wafles in Luik! It's about an hour by train from Brussels! Granted, it's a bit of a treck from London now and I wouldn't say it's worth it, but it would have been worth the 1-hour trip... Anyways, kudos to you for eating so many waffles in one day! Next time I'm in Brussels, I'll revisit the video....
