Finding the PERFECT Deck for MTG Historic Qualifier | Mythic SPEEDRUN

February MTG Arena Qualifier weekend will be historic. In anticipation of this we are testing out decks to see which is the best option to take to the event. We need to find a deck that can beat energy, devotion, lotus field, auras and affinity consistently. Join as we test out options and see what can conquer the meta game.

Have you played any timeless recently? I recommend some iteration of chorus tempo/ctrl - chestheir has great content for the archetype

Haven’t played much timeless recently. I’ve played the chorus cards in a more tempo/control version of wizards though with snapcaster main and been liking it. Really easy to flip tamiyo

I’m missing two deluge. Would it be a good idea to go damnation in the board and demonic counsel in the main and just go main two deluge? Or should I use better options? I’ve been using the splash red version for Olivia.

Damnation is something you can try out, but the flexibility of deluge is you can scale it to keep Elenda or Frog potentially alive. I wouldn't play counsel. Could go 2x deluge main and something like malicious affliction or whatever 3 mana creatures get -2/-2 wrath. That or potentially extinction event. I want to try 2x emperor of bones main as another way to cheat out big threats after you discard them as the deck has no way other than sorin to get out Elenda. Kaito was whatever and thing lowering the curve could be better.

@@MTGJoe I liked the Kaito flex. Bc nobody wants to kill the baleful strix when it attacks and they just get punished for it. Loved that addition.
