Mad respect for finding the trims so fast! I searched through six ancient cities and only the seventh gave me three ward trims and one silence trim. Similar story with the rib trim that took also a few fortresses.

It really boils down to chance. I went to at least 6 desert pyramids to find the dune armour trim. Got to the point where there weren’t any left within 10k blocks from my base.

so funny to see you explore the city underneath your home mountain, because I decided to play along on the same seed, and I have been slowly converting that city for my purposes, with villager areas, a bee farm, an iron farm, etc. As I was watching, I kept saying "oh, that's where I converted that structure!" I also replaced all the blocks at the center and built my nether portal into the center monument. So fun!

The jungle temple is a perfect example of where I wish they would make some blocks unbreakable. I greatly defeats the purpose of traps and combination codes if you can just mine through it all.

To be fair the builders should have used more obsidian as well. :) There's no such thing as a safe vault. Even in the real world safes and vaults to store valuables in are rated in minutes, that being the time it would take to break into them. (Google terms like TL-15 and TRTL-60.)

Just a quick, little reminder to people who, like me, are playing in worlds generated before 1.20: Chests do not generate loot untill you open them. So if you've loaded a structure in 1.19, but haven't opened the chests, you can still find 1.20 loot there. (...Yes, I travelled way further than I needed to find Silence before realising this.)

I got pretty unlucky in my armor trim expeditions. I did get it in the first jungle temple and desert temple, but after that 6 nether fortresses, 10 bastions, 8 end cities, 12 pillager outposts, and 16 ancient cities! I got 22 ward trims and 34 notch apples before I found silence

Ever since they added the armor trims, I was hooked on finding all of them because they look cool. But my one fear of going to the Ancient City because of the dark and accidentally summoning the warden and not knowing how to disarm the Shreakers in specific traps.

Armor trim should have some special effects when added to an armor, and stacking one type of armor trim does something to the armor, it shouldn’t be just decorative, for example the silence armor trim can make you move more silently thus you don’t trigger shrikers

Anyone else remember that 1-2 month period when piglin bastions were quite easy to raid? It was before piglin brutes and gilded blackstone under loot chest. and you’d just place a hopper under the chest and not have to fight any piglins.

The piglin snout trim was the first trim I got along with netherite upgrade, funny thing is, I wasn't looking for either of them, I just found a bastion and decided to raid it, though I almost didn't. Actually I was attracted to the magma cube spawner, as I knew it was one of those bastions.

That might just be a historic thing, considering jungle temples were added years before potion-tipped arrows. (Or they considered it when adding tipped arrows, but decided against it for various reasons.)

No, it doesn't. People asked for it but with how trims work mechanically it isn't possible.

Piglins specifically look for golden item types (via an item tag), which is a mechanism that cannot cover trimmed items' trim materials.

Pixlriffs, I have a slight correction on 1 thing u said. When u break out the 2 blocks on the back of the 3-layer end city houses, there is a chance a shulker will be around the ladder and be able to see u thru the gaps of the chests, and I have been shot with a shulker bullet between chests on multiple occasions, granted a majority of them I was in the crawl position behind the chests, cuz I gather extra enderchests for placing around my area.

A little salty that I wasn't able to get the tide armor trim during my first manument raid in my world. Tide is definitely my favourite of the trim sets, it looks so elegant! But maybe it's deceptively the hardest to get.

quick correction: the first bastion you raided in this video is a **Hoglin Stables*, the *Housing Units** have a patch of nether wart in the centre + the double chest you mentioned

The great thing about this being a sandbox game is you get to decide what's cheating. Obviously if you're in a multiplayer world, check with the other players first - and in single player, you might want to avoid setting your world to Peaceful if you have hostile mobs performing useful tasks (such as a zombie in an iron farm.)
