I wonder if the poisonous eyeblossoms are somehow tying into it being a night flower - since the bees are supposed to be in their hives at night, it wouldn't be a natural interaction to get, and so the flowers wouldn't have avoided evolving a trait that poisons a pollinator because they're not pollinated BY the bees.

resin blocks " suffer" from oversaturation making them unusable as a base building block without looking really over the top. But they are probably really great as a contrast/context block. In the right build they could achieve something no other block really could so far. The closest to it would be shroomlight in terms of color and texture. But those are light blocks, which the resin blocks are not.

Eye blossoms will open or close in the overworld. They change state when receiving a random tick and are not in the appropriate state for the time of the day. If they are planted on the ground, they will notify nearby eye blossoms of their state change to make them close or open faster, while they do not "communicate" when planted in a flower pot. Eye blossoms don't change state in dimensions without a day/night cycle, like the Nether or End.
@Pixlriffs12 күн бұрын
Weird that they don't communicate in a flower pot, but they still open and close. I guess IRL potted plants still act that way... Just an odd choice when most players will choose to skip the night by sleeping (but would still enjoy the appearance of an open eyeblossom).
@Timelord7912 күн бұрын
@@Pixlriffs I think the reasoning could be that their roots cannot touch other eyeblossom's roots when potted. It's a conceivable evolutionary trait, to signal to other flowers that it's time to protect against daylight creatures. Whereas at night they evolved to pretend to be creakings in the dark to scare off herbivores

@Pixlriffs12 күн бұрын
Tbh there are so many other reasons they could've axed fireflies, idk why they went so hard on the 'poisonous to frogs' angle. I think fireflies would've been a massive disappointment as they were originally envisioned: basically just a particle effect, no player interaction with them, they'd just be eaten by frogs and disappear forever 🤷♂️
@Markus117d12 күн бұрын
@Pixlriffs Ikr, it makes no sense, especially as parrots & cookies were already in the game, If they just said they were having issues including it, i think most players would be more understanding & say fair enough, fingers crossed they are added in the future because even just a particle effect can add a lot of ambience, cherry groves spring to mind.. 🫠
@wesleyclymer90264 күн бұрын
@Pixlriffs I honestly think that they didn’t want to deal with the constant lighting updates that would ensue. Another thing to consider: Yeah the “endangering frogs” argument is kinda lame but lets say they just didn’t make frogs eat them: if a kid saw one irl do that they would suspect something was wrong. It just doesn’t make sense 😑

@Markus117d one would assume fireflies would do that though right? I do think that if they weren’t implemented in that way Mojang would receive complaints along the likes of the glowsquid. The only solution I can think of is that either firefly’s become a kind of entity that’s non interactive and just looks like a collection of them, or mangrove swamps are just lighter at night than any other biome.

Use the MCA Selector tool to trim an existing world to reveal Pale Gardens in previously explored chunks. However, be aware that entire 32x32 regions must be deleted for this to work. Deleting small groups of chunks within regions will not work. The difference is visible in the MCA Selector interface - chunks with a black background will not generate the new biome - only regions with a grey background will do so. Use the ChunkBase Biome Finder with your world seed to locate regions where Pale Gardens can be generated, then highlight and delete those regions in MCA Selector. Be sure to make a backup of your world before you delete any chunks or regions. Also, be careful not to delete any chunks or regions containing anything you do not want regenerated.
