I cut about 1 minute 43 seconds from super early on the video, where I talked about missed references in BtB and EtP. After mulling it over and talking it over with a few people, it seems like a better option will be to roll all future "missed references" into a Finale-like video. It should just put a nice ribbon on things, without interrupting the flow of each and every video while I stop and insert missed details. So while it's cut here, it will return in that wrap up video! My apologies to anyone in those 900 commenters whose timestamps no longer make sense... At least we know they are all consistently 1 min 43 secs too far ahead of the intended timestamped point.

Just wanted to add this for the last video in this series. The shrink ray fail has the worm do DIO’s Heritage for the Future “WRYYYYY!” in the flash version of StD. StD was my first Henry Stickmin game and I recognized it back then from the “DIO vs Dan Hibiki Road Roller” meme.

Correction for 20:23, Stealing the Diamond came out before GTA V (StD in 2011, GTA V in 2013), There are 6 Stars in GTA IV and you get 3 stars when you kill an officer (Henry gets 3 Stars when he hits Johnny with the rock).

Fantastic video! Here's a few things that might be of note: The creeper explosion not killing you could MAYBE be a reference to how wonky creeper explosions are, sometimes they only damage you a little and other times you die instantly. Also, something that was glossed over a bit in the Goodball path was the most likely reason why Henry sends out Missingno. - he didn't have any Pokemon. Usually when you enter a battle with no Pokemon, usually through a glitch, you send out some variant of Missingno. and the game freaks out.

One reference that you missed: on the original flash version of StD the worm’s scream on the Shrink Ray fail was DIO’s WRY scream from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future arcade game. This was obviously changed due to copyright reasons.

Its inclusion could also be a quiet joke about the Darwin Awards, a site cataloging evidence of "natural selection" through stories of people who end up dying or otherwise hurting themselves by making stupid decisions in active defiance of safety or reason. And if Henry does anything a lot, it's die or otherwise hurt himself after making decisions in active defiance of safety or reason.

8:15 This may be a longshot, but when I first saw the earrings on the left, I thought of the earrings that Athena Cykes wears from the Phoenix Wright series. Now Athena was first introduced in 2013, long after the original Stealing the Diamond was released, but obviously for the remaster this point doesn't mean much. Other evidence for this conclusion is that PuffballsUnited obviously knows of the Phoenix Wright series based on Escaping the Prison, and because in Athena's debut game, her earrings are actually somewhat important (for spoilery reasons), so it would make sense that they could be displayed in a museum at some point.

A little fact for you: It seems that at least some of the new scenes are actually drawn on top of the old scenes. Due to my terrible computer, the new version of the diamond display didn't render during the portal gun scene. This left the old version viewable clear as day, not lining up at all with the new animations. Seeing you delete layers to see what's in the displays, you probably knew this already. But, hey, just in case.

The Agyptain Artifacts next to the diamond could potentially be a payday reference. They look alot like some you can steal for extra money in the game in “the diamond” heist, what i think just fits too perfectly.

I really love these videos, I always love watching Henry and his fails. But heres a few things ive noticed: The Opening screen also pays homage to how broke henry is: there is a sticky note saying he is 10 days behind rent, with i think 3 and 7 crossed out The worm from the shrink ray is a reference to JoJo i believe The Penny is a reference to Hitman, where using a coin distracts people around where it lands Under the portal gun fail, the text still says "portal gun" instead of its new, non-copyrighted name. It also seems that Puff has a pretty good understanding of physics, given that it comes up later in this game and in CtM for sure, but im not sure about the others. Also, im not sure if this is a reference, but at the end of that fail text, it mentions putting one portal on top of another and that we probably heard about it on the news. Not sure to what it would be, however. The new rifle also appears to be an M4A1, as opposed to the AK-47 from the flash version. The AK is a russian gun, and the M4 is american. And since we are somewhere in the southwest, it would make sense to have an american gun rather than a russian one. Another physics reference is with the basket, where he mentions i think for the first time about skipping physics lessons. He does correctly identify the concept here as well, unlike the portal fail where it was just a jumbled mess. Also not sure if this is applicable here, but in ItA, theres a bio that says that someone quit the mafia because it had bad hours, and here a guy named Tony Franz who was sent to the Museum to launder money for the mafia Really looking forward to the next FtR video!

A change that was made in Stealing the Diamond during the Epic route is that the robot's legs are now visible in the museum, and the cannon guard is now being crushed by said legs, unlike in the original where he was being crushed by debris and the legs weren't anywhere in sight

The “rifle” option is a csgo reference because it is almost the same audio as the m4a4 in game, as well as showing how hard the recoil is to control in the game

In terms of the Goomba paintings, there is a big one and a small one which corresponds to the way Tiny Huge Island worked in SM64. You'd enter the small painting to go to the tiny version of the level and you'd enter the large painting to go to the large version of the level.

i'm pretty sure that the "BOOM! Headshot" is more a reference to the Meet the Sniper video where that is the opening line. There is also another reference to Meet the Sniper in Samuel Mundy's bio when it says that "He's not a crazed assassin," which is a reference to his conversation with his dad where he says "I'm not a crazed gunman dad, I'm an assassin"

In the original stealing the diamond, the wall behind corporal bull bullit at the CCC has the map, and a disabled cam that’s labeled 626, which could be a reference to Lilo and Stitch, and the fact that it’s disabled means Stitch escaped, and was probably in for causing chaos, and got removed to avoid canonizing Stitch in the same universe. Also A113 was one of the few I got first time through the final game.
