If you played enough gachas, youll know the launch banner characters rarely ever matter in 3 months. Pick who you like and wait and see what else comes out. Or save up everything if youre f2p

The only day 1 starter character that has relevance is Liv Luminance thanks to her leap upgrades(basically buffs). Maybe technically S rank Kamui since his "replacement" needs whale tier investment to actually replace him, or Liv Lux who is about to be completely replaced right now but already had alternatives. All other starter/early characters are straight dog water for current standards and have been heavily powercrept

I can't speak for Kuro games but characters are very rarely ever changed after release in the big gacha, if at all. Look at Genshin/Honkai for example. Normally if a character is "buffed" in Gacha, it's due to a new support coming out that lifts them up higher. As she seems more like a support, I doubt this is the case. Kuro games did say they would look at her and Ice Boy before launch but after launch I doubt it'll change.

He reminds me of a character my Daughter drew for one of her art exams few years ago and I was shocked to see how similar he was. When I showed it to her she was so elated and immediately asked me if that is who I am going play as in this ARPG and I said YES without hesitation.

I really want Calchero/Yulin/Verina as my first team. Almost tempted to reroll to get either Calchero or Verina and then pick the other in the targeted banner. People may say it doesn't matter but it does. Who you spend time with during the honeymoon phase can't ever be changed. Plus Yulin is the second limited banner, so there's time to save up for her plus her weapon luck depending.

@@michael10613 On the plus side, as there's only 6 standards, that means there's a 33% chance of getting one of the two you want which isn't too bad but its like 45mins an attempt. Starting with the dps to play with would be best but I'm not going to be too greedy lol.

it doesnt rlly require many characters usually u only wanna build other characters late game to support ur dmg (puppet girl and verina or whatever for example) or also in super late game u can build multiple dpses for the endgame content bc some characters r better for bosses while others r good for groups of enemies tho in ur normal earlygame gameplay i doubt youll need to build more than one character and ive seen one character clears of the endgame modes anyways so thats kinda proof ig

Got Verina from my first banner. Most likely pulling for calcharo from choice despite rn also pulling for Jiyin. At least that will give me some flex for main dps and I can use like Mortefi for combination attacks or Sanhua for outro/intro skills (and bonus damage on normal attacks) sadly yinlin is also limited so I’m prolly not going to be able to grab them. But I’ll save up after getting jiyin (dupes aren’t worth when I could instead go for a character that buffs another ridiculously well)

I really like calcharo character design and abilities but I lack in skill 😭 and always go for characters that attact from afar like using puppets/robots/ like Encore/Yinlin but I really like calcharo overall I def can’t use gun/spear characters 😅 so I’ll stick with sword and long range weapons that’s my plan plus a healer bc I no have gaming skills

man, it’s upsetting that all my favourite characters are always so low on tier lists 😔 I don’t care though. lingyang is just a little guy and I love him so much. literally picked the game up purely for him. thankfully the gacha gods blessed me and he was my first 5 star 😁 got verina for the free 5 star and have the selector set for encore lol, I’m like 40 wishes off tho sigh. I’m very tempted to use the uh.. astrite? whatever the primogem equivalent thing is I forgor but yeah I’m very tempted to use those for her, but I’m also debating if I should pull on jiyan 🤔 lingyang is my main dps with verina support, and I don’t really wanna build most of the other characters I have so the last slot is just an underbuilt chixia for when I need range or to do the shooting puzzles 😭😭

Jianxin is atleast A tier for me since my phone lagged so much that she help when i can't really dodge or parry with her auto counter. But i can see why people rated her low since boss are hitting like truck and DPS is the only way

Calcharo is my beginner favourite. Chose him from the 5star roster and haven’t regretted it even a little. Got Encore from the starter banner and it was a disappointment. Don’t usually play with any child characters and don’t like her playstyle that much. Wouldn’t have picked her but she has been useful. Lost my Jiyan 50/50 to Verina. Another useful child in the team. I’m saving the guarantee standard character for the future when I see who I get accidentally and Who I would like to play.

Everyone will get a guaranteed 5 star character and 5 star weapon so you will get Jianxin easily. There's a targeted banner thing where you'll select the 5 star character that you want and you can easily go for Jianxin which will just need you about 40 standard banner pulls for her. You can then aim for a 5 star weapon when you level up but people suggest sword or pistols over the other weapons because these two weapons offer Crit Rate..

For my experience u want to collect all first time reward as possible before the reset start! When june hit i guarantee it will reset all the reward.. i want to get characters that can carries me to get all these reward so going for limited 1 first on reroll then other.

I don't care about power creep, but I really really really hope WuWa does the opposite of Genshin in at least one regard, and update characters going forwards. I have played well over a dozen gacha games in the past, some of them great some of them not so much... and there's a lot to love about Genshin. But I've never played a single character based gacha that lasted that long, or made that much money, that didn't in some way provide for future use of weaker characters, update their balance, or in some other way fix it. Of Wuthering Waves can release characters and at some point in the future go back and improve them or keep them relevant in ANY WAY, it's going to have a significant advantage over MHY's steadfast freeze mentality.

There’s both a beginner banner and a selector banner iirc so you can do the selector banner after the beginner banner so you don’t end up getting the same 5 star
