If it makes you feel better, there are two instances in my family (one on mom's side, one on dad's side), where they were widowed and then met another Christian man and were happily married. I want to give you hope and let you know that it is possible and can happen, and want to give you hope in that.

@@hannahknights452 In addition, Let the person seek God's direction in prayer. Proverbs 19:14 (NIV): "Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the Lord." To have a right partner, let them seek the Lord and wait in faith.

Love the Lord with all your substances, have faith in Him, Pray and obey Him all the days of your life. Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Psalm 125:1 "They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever." Remember to always seek the Lord in Prayer. Stay blessed!

As much as how Derek Prince says Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path- he doesn't want any of us to hear what Paul says about marriage in 1 Corinthians 7:15 onwards. Read carefully and understand that marriage has its own consequences! As much as everyone says God ordained marriage-God also is looking at us as brides and He is the bridegroom! He's coming soon to collect His bride!

@@PleaseBelieve please read 1 Corinthians 7:24 onwards and am sure the Holy Spirit will make you understand! See what Paul is writing to all those who truly want to serve God as his/her bridegroom. That is one of the elements of being a true disciple! That's why Apostle Paul said mimic me for i mimic Christ!

Marriage shows the relationship between Christ and his people. Even the patriarchs were married, Moses, Peter and more. One more thing, what Paul said in that verse was from his own wisdom and not advice from God. Idk, it sounds like you're trying to make marriage seem negative.

@@Alyse14 is Derek the via media between God and Man? No! For there is no one like that. Each person needs to have that unique relationship with the Lord. And that is what Paul says so clearly in 1 Cor 7 of how one can keep that relationship pure unto the Lord. Don't follow what people are saying-its just mere men talking. But follow the Word of God to a dot. As hard as it sounds that's the only way we can please God.
