You are such an inspiration! I am 13 and luckily I have an uncle who spoiles me! I have 33 tortoises and just got my first eggs! I would like to breed reptiles for a living when I am older and I want to educate people on how to properly care for animals! You are the best person to watch because you teach me so much. Thank you!

I think the tray with more eggs dried out because there were more eggs; the other tray only had half as many eggs, so it sounds like they absorb some moisture, and naturally would not absorb as much. I guess you have to re-wet the more full trays more often.

Yes I l learned something when you have eggs in the incubator that are too dry you put some damp paper towels on top of the eggs so they won't dry out so when they hatch there will not be any problems

Carry a marker with you and mark an x on the top of the turtle eggs and an o on the bottom so you know where the top and bottom are I grew up on a chicken farm and that's what we used to do for incubation

Wouldn't the number of eggs in the container be the factor? I noticed when I used to breed reptiles that the containers with more eggs needed water added more frequently then those with less eggs.

Kenan you just gotta relax and let Lagatha do her thing, jus like other animals they can sense the tension. Just stay a good distance where she feels comfortable and not cornered and let her come to you and investigate, if you pull back/jerk super quick she'll also freak out

Why don’t you pile up some dirt In areas of the enclosures so they would be more inclined to lay there and then it can make looking for them easier or nest boxes

@@CarterKey6 yeah i totally get it i am the same way i like to have everything just right... Id say have a heated box fully insulated for him. Just in case.... But also id have some type of plan inside you never know with this crazy world what the weather will be day to daynover winter... Thats just my opinion. I think they can tolerate some cold but if you notice any change at all id be bringing him in sucks i know but its better off. Def have a option outside and inside.

@@CarterKey6 i know they always wanna go go go its great having a tort with so much energy but at the same time you feel like your letting the lil bugger down cause he wants out. I get it. Just keep a eye on temps a little outdoor time isnt bad if its not cold out just bring him in at night if it drops temps. Its allllll about temperatures. I take my snakes out for sun time sometimes. Not right now we have snow in the forecast my friend got it last night😬👀
