Thanks Jason. I just installed this as I’m semi off grid at the moment. Found a VK map similar to that one you used. Not that it really matters here in VK as there are only 4 non pactor Hf RMS stations any way. But at least the list keeps up to date in case they move freq.

Hi Jason. Downloaded and run perfectly first try to my ubuntu 16.04 box. Perfect directions. This will be very useful over with my rPi portable station. It would have taken me a month or more to figure out how to do this on my own - so it would not have happened. Thanks much. Again. de w7ery

Hey Jason You have been doing some great work. I have a puzzler. I'm using a moitessier hat for GPS, AIS, Attitude, Speed, Barametric pressure, temperature, and magnetic compass heading. It's pretty awesome. But I've had a H*** of a time trying to get GPSd working.It's just odd. Won't pick it up. I'm assuming that I use Pat configure and change the port settings on the GPSd.
@KM4ACK4 жыл бұрын
Yes. You can change the GPSD port near the bottom of pat configure file.

Great instructions Jason. I have run into a snag though. at the 6:07 mark of the video you go into getardoplist, when I do this all I get back is the terminal is "bash: getardoplist: command not found" How do I proceed from here?

JS8CALL off grid with even no time standard is easy and maybe getting to winlink ( which you talk about a few videos later) might be possible ? I just look at the stations on air and push the end of transmission timer button when the a station completes its pass. Works better than just about anything ! That said, haven't done anything at all with winlink yet.

Hi Jason, that map only covers mainland North America. Is there a map for the whole world as I'm in UK? Great content BTW ;-) 73

I remember finding one of the world before using a google search but can't quickly locate it again. If you can find one using google, you could simply swap it out with the one I reference downloading in the video. Be sure to put it in the same directory and name it the same as the one I offer for download. Then it should work with no issue. If I can find the world map again, I will post a link here. Sounds like there is something amiss with your pat config file. Can you start pat by running 'pat http' at the command line? I'm guessing you can't. You will need to sort that out first. If you can't find the issue, email me mycall@arrl.net and I'll can tell you how to create a blank config file for pat. Thanks for watching! de KM4ACK

This is an old video and the script has been deprecated. However, you can get a complete list by running - pat rmslist --mode pactor. If you want to save the list to your desktop, run: pat rmslist --mode pactor > ~/Desktop/pactor.txt

Daryl, I haven’t seen this before but but have a suspicion. Can you help with a bit more info. First, I need to know which version of raspbian you are running. Buster or Stretch. If you don’t know, you can find out by running “cat /etc/os-release” Also, which version of Pat are you running? 0.6 or 0.7? To find out, run “dpkg -s pat” Once I get the info, I will see if I can replicate the problem here and if so, come up with a solution. 73, de KM4ACK
