This had me sobbing especially the piece about your lovely Nan. What a great thing to do. I wish I had taken videos with my Nan so I could hear her voice again.

"No one will be able to take that photo the way you do..." That really hit me. In our field where competition is fierce and small time freelancers like myself struggle, I needed that little push. Tommy Thank you for sharing this. I wish you all the best on your endeavors.

Not sure how I missed this video but I did. All I can say is that I get the telling a story vs finding a style. You confirmed the why I love photography and inspired me to tell more stories. Watching this reminded me how important it is to work on projects for me. Thank you Tommy Reynolds!

You’ve made my day John, thank you so much for your amazing words! I’m so glad you enjoyed this video and best of luck with your next personal project!!

I’m speechless... It was truly amazing, the real reason why we are taking memories by film or pictures because one day theses people won’t be there anymore and you just showed that brilliantly. It was really emotional, inspiring and awesome. Keep doing your personal project on KZbin it’s just great.

Definitely a breath of fresh air. I've been shooting photography personally and professionally since 2005 and I've worked with a decent amount of clients. I now am not a full time photographer however I want to pic it back up and do 1-3 projects a month to keep my creative mind sharp. I have gear but I think you are so right when it comes to looking at other peoples work on IG or YT. Today SO MUCH info is exchanged daily it's very overwhelming. I feel that since I don't do photography full time it's hard to keep up with trends and it seems easy to just copy or emulate trends, but It is actually harder I think because each photographer is different. I've been inspired to work on my own time with my own concepts and bring my own vision to life in a creative way. I think this is great for me moving forward. And I totally agree, sometimes you just have to get out and use people you know to get the ball rolling.

This was genuinely so inspiring and I want to say thank you for creating this video! I'm an amateur photographer and I've just started studying photography and I always get flustered and confused when soemone asks me what my style is, or what I want to focus on in this career and everything you said in this video was so insightful and inspiring again, and it was exactly the thing I needed to hear! So thank you :)

It's always a nice surprise when something I've said to you finds its way into a talk, a live stream or a video. It's nice to know that what I've said to you in the past about your journey, and your plans going forward, has made you feel the same way that this video will make everyone watching it feel too. I might not have much opportunity to do personal projects with photo or video, but I think that helping you realise your potential, helping you move your career forward and helping you with your channel has got to be one of the best personal projects I've ever done. It's given me confidence in other skills I've developed over the years. This video was amazing, very well put together and a great message. Well done matey, really well done.

Lovely video, and inspiring message. But I have to tell you that the mid-video ads are very jarring. They cut across the narrative of your Gran and James right in the middle of beautiful moments, and broke the mood. :-(

Hey Ann :) Thank you for bringing the mid roll ads to my attention! I have now turned them off. Thank you for watching and giving me that vital bit of feedback Ann
