Wow. I know as I am writing this that you posted this over a year ago. I just now found this. My greatest question has always been Why? Why? do I keep drinking when I know the damage is being done, drink after drink. I appreciate your messages so much because I believe in you and what you are trying to do sincerely to help me and others. You come here with backbone and integrity. I admire you very much. I'm going through the same feelings, that I'm too old now to be searching for myself. Hell, I've been too the bars, dance clubs, concerts and you name it over my lifetime. And now I sit alone in my room wondering why I am still... drinking. I'm getting sure depressed over this now.I believe in Dan and his message and will keep on believing in a brighter day of finding freedom from this damn trap of alcohol...aka poison!!!

Today is 6/28/22 I am on day 38 of my sobriety and I am so happy. I am a Long way from where I want to be,but Today my Life is getting better and I thank my Higher Power ,12 steps,my Fellowship and my willingness to change. Today my why is; For a Brighter Tomorrow!
