All the examples I was finding had the book given, common percentages so they weren't very helpful to me because the answer was already given on the chart. Thanks to you, I can actually solve these problems confidently

This was useful as far as steps but I'm confused as to why my z score chart is completely different. For example your z score of 0.0 is 0.0000 my z score 0.0 is 0.5000. And my chart is two pages one positive and one negative.

Yes, there are several z tables in common use. Every table does one type of drawing directly. Your two tables will do two problems directly. In other words, for two drawings that might result when solving these problems your tables will give you the same area you’re looking for without any additional work. There are five different types of drawings that you can have in these problems, so you will always need to do an extra step to find the answer for some of your problems. Once you know the basics, you can adapt to any table you have. Each table has a drawing up top to tell you how it works. In the beginning, stick with the tables you are required to use in your class because you don’t want to confuse yourself.

Hi you can access the z table I used here: www.statsprofessor.com/ch/20/837 If that link doesn't work from KZbin, you can just search STATSprofessor.com, click STATS I, then click Course Documents, and finally Tables.

But my table scores dont match with your one. Is it differ from one tail to two tail? The table i followed is one tail.. In 96% CI it's giving me critical value -.06😳
