Fine Gold Recovery Process for Quartz Ore, using Hammer Mill and Concentrator

Here's a video demonstrating my process for recovering fine gold from quartz ore which I hiked out from the mountains. This sample was taken out of the north cascades. I crushed it before the video to about a 1" minus size, before milling in the hammer mill, and concentrating.
In the next video I'll run the tailings of this process through an industrial grade shaker table to see what gravity recoverably gold this system wasn't quite able to capture. Most of the gold in this ore is really fine, from 100-400 mesh size.

I like it! Saw the treadmill video and that's cool! Really like that one! Have cousins in Corvallis that's Beautifull area. Went up to quartzville to check that out a couple years ago. I think lo tech is the way to go but best for isolated hi grade deposits. 12 v dc solar power at least. Chainsaw powered crushers etc etc.

The gold cube, or a shaker table is the way to go. Pretty good sample. Now how does the vein look in the mine?

The vein looks great but it's so tightly grained it's very difficult to chip away at without drilling/blasting.

Hey cool video! Would this set up work with circuit board recycling? I'm looking for a mill that will turn pcb ( printed circuit boards) into a fine enough powder to be able to pan out the metals

Good question, yes hammers wear quickly, they're just inherently the highest wear part... If you see my first video (DIY rock crusher), there's a pile of ~500 in the background! They last about 40 hours to a set. I sell them on eBay for cheap if you have a mill of similar size.
