I would love to see you add to this topic in future videos, speaking to even more specific ways AI could be leveraged by bookkeepers or accountants (as I like to refer to us) and how we may need to change or expand our service offerings, pricing, marketing and target clients.

I'm still doing bookkeeping and accounting by hand. So far, I have only done bookkeeping and accounting for two clients these past few years. Hopefully, I will learn to do more of this sort on computer, and get used to it.

I don' t think being able to take more clients, will reduce the number of bookkeepers needed. I think AI is going to drastically increase the number of entrepreneurs and small businesses, which will probably increase the number of bookkeepers needed. I think pretty much all B2B businesses are going to be in good shape.

Bookkeepers will not be replaced by AI, manual tasks done by bookkeepers will be replaced by AI instead, which will give bookkeepers more capacity, automation, accuracy and efficiency. Now, if a bookkeeper wants to keep doing what they did 30 years ago by hand, then yes they will be replaced by other bookkeepers that use technology (AI) to do the job more efficiently.
