I hold on so nervously, to me and my drink I wish it was cooling me But so far has not been good It's been shitty, and I feel awkward as I should This club has got to be the most pretentious thing Since I thought you and me Well, I am imagining a dark lit place Or your place, or my place Well I'm not paralyzed, but I seem to be struck by you I want to make you move because you're standing still If your body matches what your eyes can do You'll probably move right through me on my way to you I hold out for one more drink, before I think I'm looking too desperately But so far has not been fun I should just stay home, if one thing really means one This club will hopefully be closed in three weeks That would be cool with me Well, I'm still imagining a dark lit place Or your place, or my place Well I'm not paralyzed, but I seem to be struck by you I want to make you move because you're standing still If your body matches what your eyes can do You'll probably move right through me on my way to you Well I'm not paralyzed, but I seem to be struck by you I want to make you move because you're standing still If your body matches what your eyes can do You'll probably move right through me on my way to you Not paralyzed, but I seem to be struck by you I want to make you move because you're standing still If your body matches what your eyes can do You'll probably move right through me on my way to you You'll probably move right through me on my way to you You'll probably move right through me on my way to you

Great covers on this channel guys. Would love to see more. I have an odd request for the singer, would you be able to explain your grit/distortion technique? I'm not sure if I've ever heard someone use it the way you do, and I'm very interested in it. I find it to be quite unique and I'm curious whether it's just your voice type or something specific you're doing, or maybe even both haha.
@redwings16133 жыл бұрын
I am no vocal coach just to be perfectly clear! My "voice type" probably plays a role. BUT! My voice has developed by singing along to my favorite bands. KISS, Avenged Sevenfold, and Disturbed. A7x's M Shadows has been the most influential to me I think. The grit/distortion comes from my nose more than my throat or chest. I have found it easier to go from distortion to clean notes singing this way. David Draiman does this all the time too. Sound of Silence shows amazing control between the two. So this is just my take. Practice practice practice. Keep pushing yourself to get better. Your voice is a muscle and you can strengthen it. If you really want to improve technically, check out some vocal coach channels too.
@goyliath13423 жыл бұрын
@@redwings1613 Heya, thanks for getting back to me, I really appreciate it. Those are great influences. I've idolized M Shadows for years, same with David Draiman. I kind of figured you were doing something similar to M Shadows, but wasn't completely sure. Your voice sounds a bit different with that type than most I've heard, it's a lot more meaty/manly I suppose I'd say? Because of that, I figured I'd ask you and see what you use to make sure. I've tried learning nasal technique for years but it just doesn't vibrate at all haha. My very enlarged tonsils prevent enough airflow at the top and especially top back of my mouth. I'm probably going to get them removed eventually, but worry what it will do to my voice, so that's on hold indefinitely. Thanks again man, hope you're still working on your voice and music.

Hey guys, i'm just starting with guitar. Was wanting to know the chords that you are using, I was under the impression that for the verse it's E and F (bar chord) and for the chorus it's E, C, G and D. Furthermore, what is the struming pattern. Thanks for the amazing cover.
@redwings16136 жыл бұрын
the way we played it verse: E - F# pre chorus: B - A - G - F# chorus: E - A - G The strum pattern comes more naturally. try to replicate what you hear or play what is comfortable for you. i have never put a strum pattern into text so im sorry i cant be much help there. but practice will be the best tip for that. focus on keeping tempo and let your arm flow naturally to the beat. it may be easier said than done but i cant stress enough practice practice practice! it will come with time. we are happy you enjoyed the cover! thank you!
