Awesome video again! Australia had the tech deck pros on special for $19 USD recently. I bought 3 setups mainly for the trucks! I bought 3 tech deck pro completes compared to one set of blackriver trucks.

Nice take. I'm similar. The way I look at it is, if I'm going to spend almost the price of a name brand entry complete skateboard for fingerboard trucks, I don't want to hear nearly every big influencer talking about "don't take them off often or you'll strip the baseplates" or "if the axel slips out, just push it back in". Not when I have old-school 26mm Techdeck trucks that are 20 years old, been taken off a million times, pushed beyond their intended use a bunch, and more, and still work just fine. There doesn't seem to be the "you're paying for quality" factor there if you have to pay more to baby them more, and that price could easily go to supporting genuine small names in the community for handcrafted decks, people who slapped some urethane on a lathe and hand-made wheels in whacky shapes, did their own artwork, etc. I see the value in that sort of thing, but trucks have a ton of hype around very little added value.

that's a really good take on it. Don't swap around screws with baseplate and youre good, but the fact they are so tiny and take so much abuse, odds are even the highest cost and quality brands will not outlast others. These are built to be abused and eventually they will break, which is why I think investing 70$ in a wear and tear part when there's comparable brands for 1/10th of the price is a bad idea. Thanks Nik!

You are 100% correct on the process of Blackriver Trucks except the components are made in a German factory - not China. The components are then assembled in Blackriver's HQ. Love the video though! There are definitely some excellent inexpensive options for fingerboarders out there :)

i just kinda wanted people to understand all trucks are handmade. even Chinese ones. It's not a feature specific to Blackriver. Thanks for the comment and watching the video!

@@CollectibleTechDeckDudes yeah, and just cause something is manufactured in China doesn't mean it's low quality - there are some incredibly high quality products made in China!

I did not know about the diamond pattern on the trucks that is very interesting

glad you know now! it's a great feature especially for high end wheels with well made and greased bearings in them. Makes a huge difference

Leefai? Where's it at though best budget trucks in the game hands down. Zeghead makes fairly solid trucks as well for $13
