I’m practicing the first pattern and the “EHH?!” At 3:09 is slaying me! I keep playing the pattern over and over and now everyone is screaming “EHH?!” across the house. Very good instructions! Clear and precise. It might be good to tell the people watching that when you play "Somewhere over the rainbow" with the third pattern, you are actually changing the beat of the song from 3/4 to 4/4 (or 2/4 depending on how you see it). So, you are not adapting the pattern to a 3/4 song, you are adapting a 3/4 song to a 4/4 pattern and thereby changing the song. Just my two cent. Keep up the good work!

Yes that is right! Thank you much for the input! I didn’t know how to make it as simple as I could for those who are not familiar with music terms such as 3/4 and 4/4, etc. So I just said 3 beat and 4 beat rhythms. Do you think there’s any other way I could’ve made it simpler too? Mahalo!

Hi! Thank you with this tutorial.i learned a lot from your videos. i can't stop myself of checking out all of your videos. To make myself busy and for me to stop overthinking of my anxiety your videos help me a lot. Now i can play my first ever instrument. But, if ever can you make a tutorial of this song :) When You Say Nothing At All by Allison Krauss. I tried playing this song using picking patterns but the sound is different 😅
