Nicely played. Sounds sweet on the Uke. His music made you fall into a gentle sway. 🙂 Dowland is possibly my fav composer. I always imagine him composing in the late evening by candle light. My fav piece by Dowland is 'A Fantasie' and 'The Frog Galliard' and 'Melancholy Galliard'. 😁

@@ukefan9 thanks so much 😊 Dowland’s pieces often seem to evoke the era they were composed very vividly don’t they…lol yes picking one favourite is tricky…. this piece really stuck with me, I’ve been humming and swaying all week 😊🎶🎶

​@@ClassicalUkesteryou're welcome. Yes, his music is very evocative and era-specific to me. I'm amazed at how composers such as him are able to take a simple but interesting arrangements and conjour up deep and thoughtful, or a joyous lighthearted feelings from one piece to the next. I recently got a good book of his songs transcribed for guitar. The tuning is lowering the 3rd string down to F# and capo on fret three. It's really interesting how changing one string can make such a difference. Somehow I imagine transcribing for Uke is a bit more unusual with the re-entrant 4th string. 😊
