The Inheritance Trilogy is so interesting cause the three books are kind of stand alones in the same world but also very connected. Which is very unique and I was surprised it did work so well for me.

(side eyes the 1 or 2 books I read in November) Yeah I think you're doing just fine. =P Same! I am not a fan of apocalyptic or even dystopian books. I have read one book that was apocalyptic and had zombies that I surprisingly liked (years ago), but that was it. I felt like that was an exception because in general: No. That is I'd say a pet peeve of mine in books, and that is when authors tell and don't show us things. This is rather annoying and frustrating probably in any kind of book, but I think especially in romance books. Like, you're telling me they fell in love, but I didn't get to see it, so why the hell should I care?

Hahaha I know, it was just a noticeable difference from the last couple months. Even this was over what my usual reading pace was last year. The fact that you found one that you liked even when it's not your genre just proves that you can't fully write off books because of a label! Though they can be helpful in a lot of cases Right? It's the worst. Let me feel something for these characters on my own dangit
