What's interesting is that the word taxidermy does come from the Greek words taxis, meaning "arrangement", and derma, meaning "skin". The term literally translates to "skin art"... So in Greese, using make up and tattoos and bodybuilding were all kinds of taxidermy! Great video!

Have you found the cost of manicans each year are going up in proce for absolultey no reason? My taxidermist retired in 2023 and my mount was the last one he did. Friends of the familly and I've known him since I was a lil skipper. Blessed to have gotten my first black bear two weeks ago and was referred to another taxidemist by a trusted friend. It is a dying art and it's sad that today's hunters complain about pricing. With taxidermy you get what you pay for. But I digress cost of everything is crazy and the main complaint I've heard is the cost of the manicans.
