I was hit by a car several years ago and have since then had a lot of headaches. What helps me is taking medication before going and taking a long warm shower. After, if I’m still not feeling okay, drinking coffee and cuddling under the blankets in the dark helps. If your head still hurts, that might help. 💕 Hope you feel better, Hailey!

You are one of my favorite booktubers, and your honesty is one of the many reasons why. Plus, I write with the hope of publishing too. So watching your struggles and milestones is inspiring! PS. One thing i do is a raw draft while outlining, character creating, and setting building. Some days I just need to structure scenes.

I don't know if you've mentioned it already, but you should do Camp Nanowrimo in April! You can set your own goal (words, pages, hours, etc) so it's a lot more flexible than standard Nanowrimo. It's also a great for outlining or revising. Also don't know if you've mentioned Scrivener before, BUT if you aren't using Scrivener, please give it a try! It is immensely helpful for outlining, writing, revising, EVERYTHING. It's seriously the most amazing program pretty much EVER.

Hi, Hailey I love your reading vlogs and also your videos in general!! I’m super happy that you started your book writing journey!! And being able to see how you do it’s a pleasure and a honor! Wanted to know if you could give me some recommendations on books for writing, I’m a little worried about getting into writing because I’m not an English major so I don’t know to much about the correct ways of writing and I’m a little afraid of starting, because I honestly don’t know how, so if you have any books recommendations or other things that can help me, I’m super thankful for them, also I love when Jackson appears in your reading vlogs, he’s such a handsome cat!

As usual, I really enjoy your reading and writing vlog. Thank you for your advice on outlining! I read somewhere that there are gardeners and architects in writing and that the one looks where the story goes and the other plans it out. Then there is somewhere else that states that none of that is true so what is the truth? I don't know anymore. I'l just try out different forms and see what motivates me the most and works the best for me personally.

Hailey, one book you need to read (even though it isn’t young adult) is “The Girl Before” by Rena Olsen. It is a mystery/suspense novel that has something to do with human trafficking. If your not into that, that’s fine, but I would appreciate if you read the book. The author is a friend of my teacher at school. I’m not just saying you should read because of that, but it is honestly a good book.

My biggest problem with Zenith was the rather self-righteous group of space pirates who served as the heroes. Lira's proclamation to the reader how she may work with killers, but totally isn't one herself is pretty bad, but it doesn't compare to Androma, who has raised "It's always someone else's fault" to an art form. The big thing is how we hear for half the book that Dex totally deserved her trying to murder him and stealing his ship, and when we find out what he did I didn't think he had anything to apologize for, even before he offered the explanation of his actions. Then she blames the parents who helped her escape from jail for not abandoning their lives and going on the run with her. The parents may be jerks, but could she take some responsibility for her own actions?

Hailey, did you know there are lectures that Brandon Sanderson gave at a college available here on youtube? He had them recorded so people from all over could watch them, and there are hours of content. You can just type "brandon sanderson lecture" and you'll find them. He focus on fantasy and scifi, but he said the tips work for writing in general. They're great (especially considering he's a big name e the whole thing is for free), he talks about all kinds of stuff like different methods of outlining, worldbuilding, how publishing works, etc. You should check it out.

I’ve read some articles saying that the plot shouldn’t be to important in a first draft and you should just make it up as you go along or think about ideas while walking or in the shower. I’m sure plotting is fine but try not to plot to heavily as it will be hard to fit in new ideas

Hey Hailee! Sorry to hear you've been having such horrible headaches what medication do you use? I suffer from migraines terribly and I found Excedrin: Migraine and it helps WAY more so hopefully that could help you out? I mean if you don't already take it.

I had a horrible migriane back in October that lasted about a month and a half. And tried all kinds of meds and nothing helped. So my doctor recommended me to go to the chiropractor and that actually helped me because I had stuff out of place. Younmay want to try that. Also something that helps other this going to the chiropractor os some essential oil, Peppermint to be exact. That stuff works wonderfully.
@jamieturner8910

I am sure others have said this in the comments already but that headache you describe is a Migraine. I get them all the time. Next time try Excedrin Migraine Or if you don't have any drink strong coffee and take Tylenol. The combo of Caffeine and Tylenol helps migraines 99% of the time. However if you continue to get them you should see a doctor about it. My doctor gave me a specific medication for Migraines that works within 10 minutes most of the time. Also if you are getting them all the time (which means at least once or more a month) try tracking what you were doing, eating, and drinking before it came on. I learned I get them after drinking or eating anything with Aspartame (which is common for most people who get Migraines) and that is in anything diet or crystal lite, etc.
