We used Adolphs meat tendetizer in E.R. for bee, wasp, hornet, spider, etc. The enzymes break down the foreign protein in the venom, which causes the reaction. Reducing swelling, itching, etc. right away. Mix with a little water to make a paste, put it on the center of a bandaid, place over bite site, then apply another bandaid crossways. It keeps the poltice from coming out. 😊

Brittany, I usually comment on how much work is getting done on your property, but I often forget how much you do behind the scenes. Thank you so much for the wonderful filming, editing, finding great music, cooking and who knows what else!! And I wanted to acknowledge the fact that you do a great job of using mostly music to cover much of the loud drilling, sawing and things that can get nerve wracking after a while. You do an amazing job taking care of the precious kitties you have too. Thank you for all you do to bring us awesome videos every week. It’s appreciated!! Love and hugs from Mary from Southern California 💗☀️

Who would have thought that even in Portugal a Brit to the rescue 😅! We seem to always be available from America to Australia to help anyone and everyone 😊, and the best thing is we are always happy to help whoever is in need. Eg I was visiting friends in Majorca a few years ago, and whilst I was in their apartment there was a knock on the door and the upstairs neighbour had locked themselves out, but luckily they had left the veranda open, so I climbed up to their veranda and walked through and opened their apartment door even before they had gotten there. They were so happy I had helped them out they bought me a few bottles of Budweiser as a thanks, even though I had told them that it was fine and I was glad to help. Years of rock climbing came into use even to help someone out in their time of trouble.

Drew, it's going to look great with all the solar panels on it. A comment, if you put a diagonal between the two posts on each end, along the bays, it will stiffen up the structure, to take any wind, short of a tornado.
@ppietrap3876
@ppietrap3876 8 күн бұрын
I believe that might not be good enough against lateral winds, it would only be a significant improvement against vertical forces. The posts are too thin for that height, they are too flexible. If they bend a little a bit too much the weight of the roof might just permanently deform the structure, which would eventually, after some time, collapse.They need to increase the stiffness of each individual post so that they don’t bend significantly. They might also consider attaching anchor points to the ground to decrease lateral movement

I also watch Trent and Crew. But I also watch wild wonderful of grid. With Josh and Erin. They are such hard workers. They have three children and have a farm and a coffee cafe and also opened a candle making business. And him and her are building on to thier house by thier self. They set up the camera and Erin works right along with Josh. There is nothing that woman cannot do. She helps with everything with building that house and taking care of her home, kids and what else needs to be done. And they are a sweet little family. Good job I hope you can get things done before it gets to hot for you kids. Keep up the good work.❤

I got stung by wasp on my lips, they got so swollen that I thought they were going to burst. The swelling and pain lasted for days. The best time to spray the wasp nest is very early in the morning or at dusk when they are less active. Target the nest before they get too big. When I lived upstate New York, I had a nest that looked as big as a human face, it almost looked evil. 🙏🕊🌈

I, too, am not necessarily an expert, but old! Professionally, I always cringed when I was introduced as an "expert" on a given topic. Love watching the progress. I know its hard work. Well worth it. The kitties will love their new space. I was stung multiple times by yellowjackets. You can use hot water directly on the stings. As hot as you can for as long as you can and it will sting a bit more but will take the sting out. On your face, you can soak a metal spoon in hot water and put it directly on the sting. Tap water hot, nothing more.

For future bee, or wasps stings, apply a mixture of clay like mud, or dried powdered clay mixed with a little lavender oil and water, then apply to the sting. The clay helps to draw out the venom, and the lavender is soothing and healing. Ice is good too. To your health!

Then put Plantain Lily Weed salve (I make) on it over night , morning all better no swelling🥰 ALSO, get a sprayer and do cheap dish soap, lemon juice and water, spray them and all around the box they die. Another idea , mix up mint essential oil in water , they hate mint, spray around your area in AM 😍 when you move down there, plant a few pots of mint around, keeps them away👍

Just in case of high winds I would put cross bracing between the pillars IXI IXI IXI and also cable wires at each end anchored to the ground. /I I\ If the winds get under that roof it's going to want to fly. OH and plug the ends of the beams to prevent wasp nests.

Drew needs a builder's tool belt. There are many options for the width of the belt, the number of pouches and loops. He many even want suspenders so his shoulders bear most of the weight. See Trent & Allie for examples. Trent uses a belt only while Brandan added suspenders to his belt.

17:50 - Nuts, not bolts. 😉 28:35 - There hasn't been a single heatwave this Summer in Portugal. A couple of hot days don't make one, there needs to be at least 6 consecutive days with a few specific requirements to be considered a heatwave.
