It looks so peaceful there with the horses grazing and the beautiful countryside. Is that white ribbon on the fence the energized portion of the fence?

I noticed that too, it is very peaceful, such a beautiful area that we live in but it's growing increasingly easy to consider moving with all of the regulations our state has. The fence is the 2" ribbon fence that is charged with current. It's very popular for horse people, the deer supposedly can see the white and are less likely to run through it. We don't use it in our pastures simply because of the cost of it, but we don't have too much of a problem with deer damaging our fence.

I see that you have a side view mirror. Do you use that only when on the road or do you find it useful while farming?

The road is honestly the main reason I put the mirror on. It's also the reason I only have the one on the left side, I like to see traffic coming from behind. Though I'll add this, I do find myself using it frequently when backing up or other things while working the tractor, so I'm in favor of having it there. As a matter of fact, just yesterday I was thinking that I should add another to the right side, they can be very useful.
