Compared to pure, the position of the transmission lever has been lowered a lot. Doesn't the manual transmission lever touch the propeller shaft? If possible, can we know the distance between the shift lever and the propeller shaft through images or videos? I beg you.

You can cut the connector off from the auto shifter, figure out which pins send the signal and splice two wires between two different pins which should (to my belief) solve the key locking out issue. I’m used to volkswagens but same concept across the board. Btw, great videos and ordering a banner soon for my mk4 r32!!! Cheers!
@otylerhd49844 жыл бұрын
for the shift knob get a thread maker too/nut.. and also for the key getting stuck im guessing in park one of the wires gets grounded allowing the key to come out so get a test prob and find the wire then just always ground them together. great video im glad the swap is done i swapped my tdi to a manual and it was alot of bullshit because i had to wire the clutch switch/ cruise control/ reverse lights and program the ecu

What the coils do in the clutch line is allow the transmission/engine to move slightly under accel & decel on the rubber motor mounts without over time creasing and potentially breaking the metal lines that are attached to the clutch master cylinder which is obviously bolted firmly in place

I plan on doing a manual swap too! That's the only thing that's missing with mine... unfortunately, I can't afford the swap yet but it will come. It already wants to drift with what I've done to it, it drifted on me a couple of times on the road like the mustang memes when it popped to second gear and the Quaife LSD locked on me... and yep, it is still running nothing bad happened. Looking forward to see more on this build!

Robbie, you may be able to just jump the pins on the connector to make it fully think its in park at all times forever. like if its pins 1 and 12 either connect the wires via soder or crimping you could test this with a paper clip in the connector. its nice due to you dont even need to go anywhere to test it. the car seems to not care that its now a manual. so its as simple as sending the correct signal to the ecu to release the key. also did you try pushing the key in when turning it off? only reason i ask is due to you forgot even when the auto shifter was connected. who knows maybe its just magic and is fine lol. this is amazing how simple of a swap it is.

So for the park issue what you can do is either A cut the harness and hard wire the park wires together or you can use a paperclip or something to jump them i manual swapped a integra and the car wouldn't start if it wasn't in park so I hard wired the park sensor together and it worked

You could possibly use a toggle switch and find out which wiring shows the park signal and jump them so you can turn on/off the park to remove the key.

find the signal for park from the connector on the atomatic shifter and put a resistor on the harnes in the car and the ecu thinks the car is in park all the time should not be to hard to find. works on most of the cars. good luck love ur vids..

I don’t know if it will work on the Genesis but it does on civic manual civic swap, if you wire the wires in that plug together under your shifter together it makes it think it’s in park all the time. Don’t know which wires it would be but.
@andrewstroomer26854 жыл бұрын
You can probably just jumper the switch for the park signal. Use a small piece of wire between the two points and trick it into park.

So is the Genesis road legal now? Think you may need to find the pins in the connector and add them to a switch, as it may stop you from starting the car, have a mess around joining them and see I guess. Maybe get a multimeter on with the connector connected and see what's up
